I admire your rug...I made a small one as a bath mat and it took forever and did hurt my hands! They are nice and sturdy, though, and cushy under the feet...plus, I have cold tiles and the mat keeps the floor nice and warm...
Bunny...your teeny weeny things are so cute! You are so clever in thinking how to make such tiny things...I think your brain was meant to do it...it is not a bad addiction to have! ha ha
TSM...it is exciting to see what ideas and plans you are making for your wedding!
ok--since it is tax season, I tend to unwind by coming home and making stuff...it helps a lot!
I had this plain wool bag for years and just never used it much because it was just not "me"...I decided to take a piece of fabric I saved from another project, some glitter ribbon, and a piece of scrap ribbon to gussy it up a bit...now I like it much better and will use it to go to craft fairs!
I also knit a hat for the Syrian refugee project...I will be making mostly men hats for the next few months to be ready to send by fall...this one is made from hand spun yarn from a local farm that has all sorts of sheep, goats, alpaca, etc. They use their scrap fibers to make these mixed fiber yarns. the do not dye these, so the colors are natural and there is still some lanolin in the fibers...soft and smell nice!
I also had scraps of selvage from the baby quilt I made, so to use it up, I made myself a sunglasses case for this summer. I used linen as well and it is quite padded to protect the glasses:
I also made a mug rug to have something to sit my coffee and GS cookies on this morning...I find that I make a lot of mug rugs that tend to get used for other things, so I never seem to have one when I really need one!
