I miss everyone!  I have secretly been following the thread but unable to comment...

nooo--love the discreet placement of the little doggie tail Cheesy

Your drawings are all so happy and fun...what a wonderful theme!

PIP--I love your pages!  Definitely your style---a bit dark and edgy--thought provoking...and the added story about tearing up your time card makes that page very special!

bethieb---you definitely have run with your theme!  It is so interesting!  The wolf is just perfect and so "relatable" (is that even a word? ha)....I also love the tree!

shelina--your drawings continue to amaze me...I love how you are putting the bit of darkness into your drawings...I am strangely drawn to them and curious about the stories...a very good sign!

I, myself, join racky and Roze in the slacker group...but at least I have an excuse! Cheesy

Roze--hope you find your pages!  I love your backgrounds!
18622  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Painted Top Coffee Table on: September 14, 2010 09:32:36 AM
I think I am going to give painting a try---the thought of sanding and re-staining has made my coffee table as ugly as it was five years ago because I just can't get excited to start...in other words, I think I am inspired to get it done quick and cheap!

Thanks for the inspiration--it looks really good!

ooo--I love the colorful caliormetry and the yummy yarns!

and wow--that is one huge afghan...and nicely done with the skull pattern!  I love the border!
18624  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Dotees - Round 10 GALLERY Send out 7/19/10 on: September 14, 2010 08:36:13 AM
Oh yes--however, there is a part two to this!

I received my replacement dotee from butweed (so cute and I promise to post a pic!)....

Yesterday, I received the lost one!!!  The envelope was dated July 19!!  I am so glad these little guys did not get lost because they are awesome!!

Thanks butweed for TWO cuties!!!  I will be sending you something for your extra effort!

18625  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Pins from recycled sweaters on: September 14, 2010 08:33:17 AM
Why thank you!

I always am inspired to try to use up materials that might be headed to the trash!

These are quick and easy projects that I can use to make gifts for any time of the year...a friend has asked that I make her some to just lay on her table...how simple is that?

Thanks again--and may you also be inspired to make quick and easy projects!
18626  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: gift for my sister on: September 09, 2010 08:46:14 AM
This is wonderful!  So fun and funny!! What a lovely personalized gift...I think you did a great job learning from her video...she has a unique style but you have made it your own!  The borders are fabulous and the whole thing is very colorful...the expression on the "man" cat is priceless! Cheesy
18627  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: The Sketchbook Project Craftalong 2010 on: September 08, 2010 12:31:09 PM
I have carpal tunnel in my right wrist and have to keep movement to a minimum or else have surgery...so I have been reading and not really responding much Sad...it is hard since I love to yabber! Cheesy  Thanks for asking...

anyway, if you use duct tape, use the heavier stuff, not the cheapo plastic stuff...I forgot to mention to cut a slit or hole where your needle pokes in or else it will get stuck in the tape!!! .

Whoa--came back to some great stuff!

bethieb--I love your pages; they are intriguing and makes me want to read more! definitely following your story theme but without spilling all the beans!  Love what you are doing!

spicytaco--I love using coffee stains and burns on my pages...it is real life to me (not the cigs, since I don't smoke but I do have matches!)...can't wait to see the dyed paper...

goatgoddess--love your fabric page!  I might have to try a few since sewing is so much of my life!  BTW--if you slap a piece of duct tape on your feed dogs, it works great for free motion sewing!  My favorite machine is old and I do that all the time even though my newer machines allow for dropped feed dogs...Cheesy

noooo---I adore that little kitty in the raindrop and thanks so much for showing off your rebound book!  I did not think about my inside pages being bigger once the spine is folded, so I am going to split the spine and make a new one to get it to the same size...there is actually a glue used for setting the signatures but I think I will use the first and last pages and glue them onto the covers..not sure yet...

pixieval--how clever to do borders on your pages!  I might have to keep that in mind for a few pages!

shelina--your drawings are so nice...and I love how you are making your pages in your theme...the faces are wonderfully done!  Also, your organizer/cover is very clever! I threw all my stuff in a shoebox to stay organized...

Frogg--I love your flashing light--what a cute way to do that!

wow--19 weeks left and how many pages to go?  Maybe this weekend...I am such a procrastinator...I think a ticker would be great as I respond well to pressure and deadlines! Cheesy

Great job everyone!  So inspiring and motivating to come here again at last!

Thank you for your kind words!

You guys are so refreshing with your wonderful colors and ideas!

And, I must say that this round seems very upbeat and "magical".

I agree about using text in the background...I get all sorts of pages from international swaps, so I want to use them...since I don't know what they say, they are just nice paper to me!  I often mix Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Vietnamese...I recently received papers from India that are so interesting as well...

I hope to make a couple more claims this weekend as long as I can finish up my claims--good news is that my wrist splint is off!!!  I am FREE! Crafting here I come!
