Ha ha -- I hope she has the same name as cyndiq's daughter because I wrote it inside!! ha ha

Seriously, the post office thinks it is held up in customs or else it went by slow boat since the carrier probably did not put it in the right bin since they are not suppose to pick up international mail...they assured me that it would have been returned to me for any other reason so there is still hope... Grin

Glad you did not get a duplicate calendar knit_core!! I wonder if it would be weird for me to have two calendars on my desk--I might have to buy myself the same one now that I am learning to knit!! ha ha

Well, after seeing dulcinea's package, I might just burn my needles(at least the bamboo ones...)--holy cow! Will I ever be able to do a cable like that? So inspiring and what a lovely thing to knit!

The choker is beautiful and the knit ball was full of goodies to eat and items your partner can use in her crafting!! (you represented the USA very well, ha ha!)

WOW! Ladies, I think we might need to give up sleep and get crafting! WOW--nice start...

I am working on a replacement package.  I begged the people at the post office today to tell me what to do...they did give me a tracking number for the round six package and said my mistake on round five was that I let the carrier pick up the package from my office instead of hand carrying in myself--which is BS because they have picked up international mail before!!

Anyway, here is the missing journal pics:

Cyndiq's daughter loves ballet! Here is the front:**Anybody recognize the gorgeous buttons made by penguino in this swap?***

It says "dance" "dream"...

Some of the inside...it was about 10 pages...

OK--enough mourning  Cry---on to crafting some other wonderful thing for the very patient cyndiq on round 5!  Grin

I think that anything that kinda breaks you out of the box of regular sewing is going to be wonderful!  there are so many ways we could all do different things even with in ONE of the categories!!!

No stash busting...uh oh...maybe we should start a separate sewalong for stash busting?  How about a swap where we mail each other one piece of our fabric and we then have to make something to send back to each or maybe just to model/keep? (to save on postage!)  I would love to get something from your stashes and think what to make with it...and I have some doozers in my stash that I have no idea what to do with....ha ha

aww gingerquilts---I wanted to craft for you as well but I still have another package to send to kiwimonkey when she gets back to school...I know your angels will do you proud!!

Is it any wonder this is the best swap ever?

I have been a slug over the holidays...I have pics to upload of my awesome stuff!!

Plus, I wanted to show you guys what I made with some of the stuff I received in the other rounds!!

I love the cute little purses I made with the Hello Kitty squares I received from IamSusie!  I also made an awesome bag with some of the quilt squares I received from cyndiq....

If no one minds, I am also going to post the journal I made for cyndiq's daughter event though we believe it is lost in the mail (so sad!)...maybe I can get over the loss if I post a pic... Cry

This will be a fun way to start off 2007 in a creative and fun way!

I think any of the challenges will be "challenging"!

Beautifully done tree tree--the blue one looks great on your sis!

I want to do one with two strands to see how much warmer it will be...our offices are cold and I feel stupid wearing a hat but I have worn my caliometries and felt quite "fashionable"!

Now I just have to make a few solid ones...

Those are lovely--I love the first and the third ones the best but they are all fun and varied!!

I can't believe how many strangers comment on mine around here...looks like I will be making lots of these! ha ha
