What makes them time-consuming?

They are so cute--do you use interfacing?  Are they soft of hard to the touch?

I really like the first one a lot!

Love the fabrics...it looks very long or is your daughter very tall?  Where does the hem hit?

Is the pocket image cut from the fabric or an applique?

It is so nicely done!

Use the Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust and a pair of scissors or a pizza cutter!  It is so easy to do the lattice that way (I learned this tip on Craftster! Cheesy)...it is easy and pretty...and pretty makes most foods taste so much better! Cheesy
18597  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Make a hat warmer? on: December 06, 2010 11:52:32 AM
You could take two strands of the same or other colored yarn and weave it into the stitches...I love the hat...thanks for the warning, though...I have this hat on my list and will probably make it larger in wool and then felt it...

The colors are lovely!
18598  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Swirl-along? on: December 06, 2010 08:44:00 AM
I loved the red and black one--so funky and unique!  I printed out the pattern and will be studying it...I am not good with patterns at all...but I am happy to see that it can be improvised! Cheesy

Now to hunt through my yarn stash for practice yarn!
18599  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Recycled Holiday Card Bowl on: December 06, 2010 08:15:47 AM
You are so right!  I have a bunch of old Valentines cards...wouldn't it be fun to fill a bowl full of Hershey kisses?

qazicat--I like how you do a lot of variation on a theme...it is always a challenge to use one motif in a lot of ways but you do it so well!  Love the reindeer ones...just so pretty!  I also like the shade of green you picked...it is traditional yet modern!
