beautiful recon! The belt definitely adds to it, but your eye for proportion and skirt length is right on...wonderful job--now I am going to have to go look at what else you have done... Grin

I never knew a scoodie could be so sexy and fashionable!  Wonderful take on such a practical item!  I love it!
17035  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Bright Coloured Sweaters! (lots of pics!) on: February 03, 2008 09:23:41 PM
very colorful and fun...what type of fabric is it?  They aren't actual sweater fabric, are they? Some sort of knit?  My favorite is the red/black/white--so graphic!

I like that the zipper and pockets are a perfect match!  What luck!  You are so thrifty to use your stash to make something pretty and practical!
17037  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Archive of Featured Projects for Clothing for Kids! on: January 29, 2008 10:31:28 AM
I have seen some pretty fabulous items here and, why should just the "big" kids get featured?

Help me out here:  if you spot something tremendously fabulous in the KIDS Clothing Section, pop me a PM or hit the "Rocks" button and I will check it out!

Featured items will be placed here for all to enjoy!

Thanks to Kymy for this suggestion! You guys make Craftster what it is, so keep those suggestions coming!

I have been neglecting the Kids Projects for way too long--I peek at the projects and make some comments, but with so many new posts, and so many active members on this Board, it is high time I start featuring some of you and your projects!!

With that being said, this is my choice today...

This is a real sheepskin coat made by veri for her daughter.  First of all, how many sheepskins have you ever sewn with? ha ha I can't even imagine!  The details of the coat are fabulous--the hood, the cuffs, the trim down the arm...and the pics are of a lovely family in real life... so, I present veri and her wonderful family --and the sheepskin coat!  Take a look and keep those projects and suggestions coming!

Don't you love a girl with attitude?  No wonder--this outfit totally combines the best of a classic grey suiting with girly pink details!  I think I love it as much as mom and daughter do! (09/03/08)

I am glad to see more coats being made! What a nice detail your little owl makes--I also like your button choice!

Can't wait to see if you make more--what?  You can make 5 of them for the price of the readymade one? wow!
17039  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Curtain Call--Lolita-inspired cord dress on: January 14, 2008 07:44:14 PM
I think this is the most unusual detail I have ever seen!  I love it! And, the fabric is perfect!

Very nice of you to take the time to do a tutorial! Also, it was courageous of you to admit your mistakes and stuff so that others don't make the same ones!  I can't wait to try this and to see you other creations!  Good job!

(and just in time for Valetine's!)
