Your daughter is so lucky to have a "designer" Mom making her bathing suits!  They look comfy and stylish--I love the mix of fabrics and the little details!

And, I love that you made suits that are suitable for a little girl!  Just too cute!

Oh yay!  Another mod joins in the clothing board!!  You sure are a brave one to just jump in and make a skirt (I love that you figured out an inventive way to make the skirt fit without a zipper!)...

And, you have done your ginko fetish proud with your machine embroidery!

Nice job, vanillaxlight!  I do hope you will keep on sewing clothes!

The butter does look so realistic!  What a fun thing to bring to a party!  Very clever and shows off your creative cooking skills!

These are so very cute!!

Nice job on both--what a fun way to hold that special crochet needle and keep it handy!

I love this suit!  This style was very popular in the 60's and I always thought it was flattering and sexy but still "modest"...excellent job!  Thanks for the front and back pics--it definitely shows the style well!

Nothing is better in the hot summer than a fast sewing project!

They look comfy, cool and flattering on you!  Yay for using old patterns that still work for you!

16278  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: summery apron top on: June 27, 2008 01:34:37 PM
Thanks!  I got it now--the ties under the bust would also work for me! I am going to give it a shot--and like you said, I could always add a neck tie or straps if I felt like it was slipping!

It just looks so cool for summer...again, nice job!
16279  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: summery apron top on: June 26, 2008 07:16:55 AM
Cute top!  I would also love to see the back...

Are there any darts in the top or...I guess my question is really--does it feel secure on with just the ties?  I would be afraid that it would slip or something ...

Hippie tops are my favorite!  You have done a good job selecting cute fabric and it fits you well!
16280  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Halter Top of PAIN on: June 26, 2008 07:09:42 AM
This is really cute and great for the hot summer!

I love that you made a casing at the hem so that it can be tied and bunched up a bit to go over belts and keep the tummy covered!!

Perfect for the 4th of July!
