sorry for the confusion--I will fix it so it is a link--do not want to invade bongirl's post, even though we are buds!!

still hunting that link for those who asked for the Adorn pattern site...I just tend to forget stuff, so hang in there

A fairy garden?  That sounds intriguing...I have never had time to do anything fun in my garden other than growing veggies and throwing a few statues out in the mulched beds!

craftylittlemonkey--if you get that stuff done in a week, I will have to bow down to you...omg--I would have to just shut the door (which is what I do....)...is that a real ukelele in the crock?  I ask because I have a childhood one that I want a way to hang it on my craft room wall!
16263  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Inchies - it's a new year! Sendouts Feb. 16 on: March 30, 2010 08:40:36 AM
wow--I imagine the first set was just as wonderful as this one alloralora!!  I also love the pancake one--yummy!

thanks!

I have to say that all of my partners were complimented by many people on their inchies...friends wanted to touch them and they even pulled them off so they could see the backs...I had to explain the username thing to them..ha ha...the favorites were the 3-d ones and the embossed ones, but the hand drawn ones really surprised them (such a small space! was the comment I heard the most!)...so it was worth the time to display them in a way that would catch their interest...

I can't wait to get my alphabet inchies so I can dream up a display for them!!

I would love to send books and magazines to swappers but they are heavy and expensive to send, even at the book rate!

oh maremare--a lot of people seem to be having bad times, emotionally, physically(dang arthritis in my hip is killing me!), financially--a positive happy thread would be nice...I need a pick-me up...it is hard to stay happy and focused and maybe seeing positive things will be contagious!!

oh no--that link is dangerous!! ha ha--I will stick to my local swap store so I will not be tempted to add to my collection (did I just remember that lylacfey said she got rid of 6,000 books?Huh  let me go reread that....)

uh--yeah--that is what she said!!!!

that is also another reason I send as soon as I get one done... Cheesy

no changing of the mind!

very practical and a good way to get things dry before toting them off again!

What a great idea...a wonderful Mom thing to do!

omg craftylittlemonkey!!! wow---I cannot believe the change...I am going to need to spend time seriously looking at those pics for ideas and to see where you put stuff...I am going to take pics because I think you guys did and had to clean up! ha ha

pops, cat2007, and rebelmommy--I think sometimes having a small space is easier than a large one...I had a way smaller space when I lived in a trailer, yet I was so neat and clean...I think stuff expands into a space the larger it is!

lylacfey--oh, sorry about your loss!  I am glad you are using crafting/creativity to regenerate your life force...I truly believe that positive energy/vibes are a strong force that will bring you up...negativity only attracts more negativity and sucks the energy from you (ok--off-topic and enough said!)...

as far as books are concerned...I always get rid of "onetime" books like bestseller novels I read over the summer by taking them to a secondhand place that gives me credits to get more...nothing like spending $1 for a $7.99 paperback! I gave away most of my cookbooks because I did not use them...I currently am down to six bookcases and have begun organizing them into books I have not read, gardening books, etc.  I think a lot of the hardback novels will be going to goodwill or to the troops library...I have no plans to rid myself of crafting books and magazines...
