16241  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Dotees - Round 9 Sign-ups 3/05 - 3/19/10 Send 4/19/10 -4 SPOTS LEFT! on: March 17, 2010 10:02:25 PM
I also like the tails but I have seen some pretty nice ones with just dangly legs and arms!  The charm is the size--I love miniature things! I also think the details are pretty awesome on some and the mix of materials...I just think they are fun!!
16242  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: 50 Projects 2010 on: March 17, 2010 09:57:18 PM
I redid my last...I figured I was not motivated because I did not like some of the things on my list...plus, I am going to make a mini list for each month based on what else is going on...

so, for the rest of the month, here is my list:

apron for me
apron for my friend sevsonlygirl
knitting needle holder
pet carrier blankets

that is it!!

I have four swaps as well so I think that is a lot!
16243  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Punch buggy blue! No punch backs! on: March 17, 2010 02:10:39 PM
I love the juxaposition of the modern auto and the Mennonite children...interesting that you included horses, which is still their current mode of transportation!

I like that it is basically black and white...At first I thought perhaps the blue could be a bit darker but then it might not be as jarring...

I really love your sky...

think I am going to have to spend some time stalking so I can see what else you have done!
I like this one a lot!
16244  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / Re: A non-conventional layout on: March 17, 2010 01:56:10 PM
a very thought-provoking and conversation starter type of page...that is, if you were to share it with others around you...I love the symbolism and lack of words "explaining" the entire page...

it goes to show that you do not have to use the plethera of conventional materials out there to make your own personal scrapbook..

thank you for sharing Wulf...

16245  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Alphabet Inchies (Send outs 4/21) on: March 17, 2010 12:47:19 PM
Since I am not going to officially be home until Monday, March 22, I feel very behind...but I have been drawing and cutting out stuff and planning...I feel pretty good that I will have all my weekends free from now until July!!

I just know that no matter what I get, I am always surprised and happy with my little gems!!

Thank goodness it is warmer and almost springlike here in PA--I feel inspired to make happy dotees...can't wait for partners!

I have tons of yarn left from the winter projects and fabrics that are meant to be made into small trinkets!

ha ha I escaped from Mom's for a few hours to work on your package prettyinpaisley!

Since we are celebrating her 80th birthday all week, I have to go back tomorrow am so I will probably not get a chance to mail until this weekend! But, she loved what I am making for you! Cheesy

lindyv321--yay for yarn!  never can have enough!  I really love the rapunzel scarves made from different yarns...can't wait to see what you do with your tins...they are so versatile for so many projects!

Happy Birthday March babies!
16249  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Quilts for Kids Quilt-along (Charity for Kids) on: March 17, 2010 09:28:46 AM
I sent in two quilts before I left for my vacation and asked for another one...I already cut out donated fabric enough for 8 quilts, but I am going to space them out over the summer!

I was a bit late, I think I was right at the six week mark--I don't think they come and get you or anything, it is just that they have a lot of need for them and can't fill the need until they get them back...

I am glad you guys are posting the colors you got or are using...sometimes with the children's stuff, I have no clue what other colors to use!  I have a pastel main fabric much like Jodilynn's and the bright purpley color will work for it!! Thanks!

Thanks for explaining about the rag quilts!  I posted on your post lilmissdangerous and asked how it was done...wow--so that is how the edges get so nice and fluffy!  I must try one!!

soorawn--I think I read this right...you pintucked the suedette fabric?!!!  omg--your stitching is so nice I thought you bought it that way!! Love it and congrats on the weight loss!!

I am happy to see everyone plugging along...I think a lot of people are a bit burned out or stuck or busy, but if we continue to space things out and keep each other on track, I am sure many will reach 50+ projects!

Sapphiremoon--with your constant flow of gorgeous jewelry, you are very inspiring!  Love the colors and styles that you create---and seeing your list being crossed off makes me want to get going!!

I am sad to see pinokeeo drop out...she had so awesome things on her list that I would love to see--I guess I will just have to stalk her to see what she posts on the boards!!

I bet I see a lot more posts soon as I know I have so many WIPS that are ALMOST there!

Finished my two Quilt for Kids so I feel a lot less stress! And, my only swaps now are paper and not sewing so I can do the sewing for myself!

WOW--can't wait to get back on this weekend--I have to head back over to my Mom's!
