oh I like your pages a lot!  they are quite fun and curious, and makes me see what a great sense of humor you have!  Love the giant ball of string and the beer drinking bear! ha ha

nooo--I really like that you are using your cricut to add to you art!  The pages are fun as well...

and I just could not take my eyes off the fish...

Phizzy--the music page really appealed to me...I want to do a music page for my Sketchbook journal to honor my husband and his drums...I think I have an idea, so thanks!

Lovely job all!
15952  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Ongoing Rag Rug Craftalong--Make any rug you like! on: August 05, 2010 11:24:52 AM
The link you showed was made from cotton knits?  I wonder if anything that includes a bit of spandex would work? I have plenty of old white t-shirts but not a lot of colored ones so I could do a block of white, a block of one color, a block of white...I like how the edges are tied, but could they also be woven in on the back? I am not sure the fringes would last very long with 4 cats...

I know I have a spare frame but I just can't put my finger on it...I will search when I get home...I am finishing up a couple of projects and I have a package to get to the post office for CLM (sorry...time got away from me! Wink )...I really need a rug in my new clean laundry room

I had one big signature as well and a pocket flap on the back inside cover that I am wondering what to do with it...I know they need the fron inside cover to put in your artist info, so I am doing that page very simply...I am thinking of putting mine back together with more signatures and doing a different, more sturdy binding..

Welcome aboard!

I think that since we can control how many pages we do, and use a loose interpretation of the theme, that if you love the Beatles, that would make a great theme...and you can always change your mind along the way! Cheesy

It really is fun and once you do one page, it seems to blossom...I love being inspired by my fellow craftsters here and on the alterd book craftalong as well!

It is for a wedding album for a funky couple so I thought white would be a good thing...I might make the backs black or some other color just for fun...not sure yet...the wedding is in October and the shower is in September...I have four pillows done but I need to go get an actual picture album to get the right size for the pieces!

ha ha I can't wait to see the bajillion pillows either!

Yeah--I will take pics this weekend for sure...my camera only holds 25 pics and is a pain to upload so I am bad about posting pics...I have lots of Craftster pics to post!

CLM--I am using various shades of white and off-white...and a little grey and beige as well...as long as it is mostly monochromatic...I am sure that the embellishments is what will make it not so boring...I certainly appreciate the tips and ideas everyone is sharing!

I am just about finished with my purse--will have to deal with the handle this weekend, which looks like it will be a flatted version of the pillows made from all the fabrics I used in the body...ha ha --the lining is probably going to look boring against all of the colors and textures!

I have three sets of alphabet stamps but that would take forever and they are a bit larger....I will use them sporadically, but it would be nice to try different writing styles!  I might finally try calligraphy or perhaps Japanese brush painting!
