Yes, the letter could have been written today...I guess that is why I love the past and vintage items so much...I feel a connection to those who came before us...how much alike we all are and how little things have changed...the things that counted still count today: we all want to be loved, we all want peace, and we all have the need to use the gifts we have to their fullest potential!

I am so glad that you like the cards.  Kurt Vonnegut is as timely today as he was back then!!  Thank you for reminding me and rekindling strong memories and the pleasure of reading him...

gorgeous!  the radiating stripes are wonderful--I need to remember your nail polish techniques!  It would take practice since I imagine it dries so quickly--I can't even paint my own nails, but I love the effect!!

ha ha --I keep a running list of things to get next to my computer everytime I goonline--sure is getting long.... Grin

yup--you should see my first crochet items--they look like I glued yarn together in clumps!  glad you have a sense of humor about it--the key is that you started and you are keeping at it! YAY!

omg--do you have the reindeer?  that would be something since I love seeing recycled items!!!

throw them away and chalk it up to being a newbie...see if you can save the eye screws, but seriously, why give them any more attention?--move on to better things! Wink

at least you recognized that they were, uh, not your best--no offense, but your first cupcake looks like iced poo! Smiley

I love the black background!

So, I take it that Lady and the Tramp perfectly fits your romance theme!

One of my favorite scenes from the movie!!

I received my thank you card from riechan! As requested, she sent a postcard from her beautiful homeland, Belgium!

In addition, she emailed me tons of pics of her and places around her!

What an awesome surprise thank you!

Wow--I sort of feel like a bit of a stalker because I found this post of yours after seeing your recently posted cowlneck top--- Cheesy

I love this!! I admit that even though I am a clothing moderator, I rarely sew clothes for myself anymore!  This one has inspired me!  I was given a lot of fabric from China that I had no idea what to make--this is perfect!

You and I are about the same size so it is nice to see the finished product on a real body and not on a pattern or model!  Thank you--what a great job you do!

Your beautiful top proves that with gorgeous fabric, even the easiest pattern can be elegant and classy!  It also helps that you do the complete outfit--you look gorgeous and it does show off the top!

Can't wait to see the winter sweater knit one!!

Thanks for sharing...

I think you picked a nice fabric for a charity auction!  I do aprons for auctions all the time and you do have to pick something most people will like!  Excellent job!  Love the style--hope you raise a lot of money!

I see you also use your iron holder to help you take pics...aren't all the hooks handy to hold straps and stuff!?  Cheesy Wink
