What a great tip about using fishing line to hang the hummingbird feeders! I don't get a lot of ants but I do get some!  Also, wasps!

I guess the price to pay for wanting to feed the birds is that I just have to cut back elsewhere...

CLM--I got a fold away table at Target for under $30!  But sometimes, you can get good deals at second hand office furniture stores--they are a bit beat up, but still very functional!  I love mine because we can also use it at Thanksgiving for the whole family thing!  It is worth it to save your back from strain!

Blupaisan really covers a lot of themes very readily!!

All of them are wonderful, but I particularly love the tap dancer and the lava lamp!

I have to travel this weekend but on my way back home, I am stopping by to buy yarn...I am very excited to have a young and vibrant partner...I only wish my nieces were as exhuberant as she is about yarn! Cheesy

Could everyone please PM me with your final May numbers?

I finished my spreadsheet and need some help since some of you posted pics, links, etc.

A lot of you have numbers in your signature, which is awesome, but I was not sure if you already counted your June projects!

I listed all the projects I could so if there is a difference, we can find it fairly easily!

So far, Sharlamarz has the highest number of projects completed at 27!!

I am shooting for Friday for the drawing so please respond quickly...I will PM anyone I do not hear from tomorrow night!

What a great tip!!  Some places are way better at getting supplies as well...especially if you do altered art...it seems junk is cheaper in the South! Cheesy

omg--we have seagulls in Central PA!  I saw them on the way to work today checking out the huge trashbins (today is trash day!)...

I make my own hummingbird liquid--it is 2 cups water to 1 cup sugar...and you must must boil it to dissolve the sugar into a heavy syrup!
I put it into a red plastic hummingbird feeder that I got at the hardware store for under $5!  I have had it for five years...it is easy to clean and I leave it out all year...

I buy birdseed at an animal feed store, but it still seems pricey to me...I am not sure how to make it less expensive...I try not to buy too much with millet in it, because it seems to get wasted, so I blend my own...still costs a lot...any ideas?  I have been using some icky apples for peanutbutter for the woodpeckers, but that is all I can think of...

15770  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: craftalong to post a project on every completed projects board in craftster 2010 on: June 02, 2010 02:15:43 PM
I tried going through all of my swaps and snagging pics that my partners took (they are all better photographers than I am!!)...it became overwhelming!

Are you organizing by swap or by type of thing you made?  I am always asked for specific examples of, say, a purse...but I don't want to be locked in...I want to make up some sort of portfolio of what I do best...

A scrapbook would be so awesome, though, because then you could include comments, cards, etc....hmmmm....
