that is great KLKing!!!  You would be perfect for working in the bridal field...you could also help a bride plan and take care of some of the details during their stressful time!  Good Luck!!! my positive thoughts are coming out to you!

also, now that your boot is off...you can go find cute shoes for your creations!!!

I am really liking the button stuff!  I got a bunch of flowers in a swap that were made of just buttons!  They look like modern art...I think you are right--a button craft would be a fun thing to add/change on my list, too!

Thanks funthreads! I am sure after many washings that the quilt will get a bit softer...I am going to wash it in All -free tonight and give it a test drive!

15486  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: I can doodle for hours :) on: March 10, 2010 12:14:38 PM
There was a pretty neat "tutorial" to free your brain in the last issue of Cloth Paper Scissors that got me addicted...I remember doing these as a kid and loving it...you might have been the one who brought back the memory of this because I remember when the magazine came, I was so excited that I knew what they were!

I am going to go through and find your zentangle now... Cheesy

added: ah yes--I remember them! awesome

BTW--what happened to that gorgeous aqua and red quilt?  I thought the color choices were incredible!  I want to make that quilt!!!

I freaking used a stripe backing on my stash quilt and was going to use it as the folderover binding but it looked stupid with the stripes going two directions!  So I ended up having to use the same fabric I used for the inner border as the binding...took too long--I have had the body of both quilts done for about 4 weeks now...time to finish and send!!!

I think I am good then!  I forgot that I decided to also quilt down the four patch squares...that sucker is not shifting or going anywhere soon!  I did the quilting on my stash quilt first in case I screwed it up (which I did--the bobbin was too tight for the quilting thread so the back thread was way way tight--I should have checked because I had to rip it all out and start over! omg what a newbie mistake but I was in a hurry!)...

Tonight it should go better on my donated quilt Cheesy

Thanks Maremare
