Lozzie--You have been busy!  That shawl is gorgeous!  Love how lacy it is!

Also, socks...and a ruffly scarf!  Yarn goodness!

lozzie--have you seen the spider web afghan?  It is just the coolest thing to crochet...one of the mods is doing it in Spiderman colors...I would love to do it in Halloween colors!

sheepblue--your pillow purses and cuffs are so colorful...you should try making some headbands using that style (ha ha I have one on my head as I type... Cheesy)...they are comfy and colorful...some girl offered me $35 for it!!  I got her name and will see if I am in the mood to make another one... (probably not...but I could point her to a store Wink )

I also have that pillow pinned!  It is such an interesting mix of fabrics!

I used to have a pink flamingo in my garden...it disappeared but I always thought it was the storm that carried it away into the woods...now I am looking at my gnome suspiciously...sick sick sick

ha ha now I am going to hear that music all afternoon...darn... Cheesy

What a fun dress!  She radiates happiness in that dress! You did a wonderful job for a friend. I love how you kept the web detail in the bodice...nice work.
15466  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Re: Mean Orgs? on: August 23, 2011 09:01:47 AM
I think some organizers have to be firm with members when they don't seem to understand or follow the rules...I know I get pretty testy when there is a lack of communication, which seems just rude...BUT, sometimes things happen like not having internet connections, family emergencies, etc.  Most organizers understand that, but when a person seems to "disappear", leaving their swap partner wondering and having hurt feelings, organizers take it personally...Sad

They want swapping in their swap to be fun for all: one bad apple spoils it and yeah, I think it can translate as being mean or unfair, but I find that it is usually the swapper who should be blaming themselves and not the organizer!

Good question, though, I was wondering if there was going to be a way to rate organizers...I guess not...so pick your swaps carefully! Cheesy

Love the tetris blanket!

sheepblue--I think that going outside of most people's comfort zone is what takes your project from crafting to art!

I will say that I am going to chain down my garden gnome just in case...I am totally creeped out now and will never be able to look at Travelocity's gnome the same way Cheesy

ha ha It seems each time I try to make a baby hat or sweater, the intended baby is too big to fit it!  I have a stash of bibs, hats and sweaters for "future" little babies...maybe I should make toddler sizes and get them done in a year or two! Cheesy

I finished my fourth scarf and have the fifth one planned...I am tired of knitting so I switched to crochet stripes...

I took pics but forgot to upload them onto Craftster so I can't access them from work! Sad

Brackish potato--they are coming along nicely!

I think when you have a theme, it does make it easier to just go with the flow and pump out the ideas and pages! I think the adoption book will be so wonderful and cherished.
