I loved your idea!!! Where did you get those clear hooks?  I am going to have to "borrow" your idea as I am tired of unrolling and rolling my roll.... Cheesy
15432  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Needles in my eye! Hook holder on: February 05, 2010 08:08:14 AM
See--something like this is way more practical for me than a roll--I am always reaching for a hook for something and...it is not there...or else it is in my pencil cup!

I love your idea and the fact that you made it fun and crochet!!! I have never seen clear crochet needles and they look ergonomical as well...I will have to look those up as I am having some problems with little hooks!

Nice project!  Thanks for sharing!

Mortimer made my day!  I have never seen a sock monkey with such attitude! How fun is he!!!  You must have put some of your personality in him, Miss Troublet!! Wink

love the brown/cream washcloths and scrubbies by sunspotted--I also have no idea how people can use them since they are so pretty!  and alpaca yarn is fabulous! can't wait to see what you make!

phnxreign99-I love the embroidery on the needlebook!  The penguins are so cute but I love the little cupcake the best! Cheesy

timpani~jax--your black embroidery bird is gorgeous!  That is one skill I have not yet developed, so I truly admire emboridery and needlework of all kinds!

6iggle--what a great idea to use an lovely skirt for something else lovely!  The needleroll is practical and beauiful!

hee hee--I think it is funny that devilckat got a devil t-shirt! how cute!

Great packages everyone!  I will be finishing up my packages this weekend and look forward to the February Birthday swap as well!

What a conversation piece you created!  Thanks for explaining the process--it is pretty fascinating...

The piece turned out to be very interesting!

I mailed  to vinnie451 today and hopefully, my package will get ahead of the major snow storm we are getting!

It was hard getting pics of the whole group, but it was fun to look at a complete page!!

Can't wait to see all the pieces everyone gets for their collection!

15438  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Completed Projects / Re: Tie-dyed onesies on: February 04, 2010 01:13:53 PM
These would make a great shower party thing to do!! So cute and practical and way cuter than some of the cutesy stuff I see everywhere!  Is the dye you are using safe for the baby?  I know nothing about dyes...or babies... Cheesy
15439  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: 50 Projects 2010 on: February 04, 2010 01:10:02 PM
Ya know what I love about craft-alongs?  The accountability.

I may not get through even half of my 50 things for 2010 (have thought up less than 30 so far...) but at least I'm making a list and trying to get through it.  Plus, maybe I'll get some WIP-bustin' done, so I can cross those lingering half done items off of my list!  Tongue

I agree--at least with a list, you can at least see some progress!  I keep seeing all of the beautiful items and keep adding to my "off-record" list!  I think I am going to sneak over to my list and change it up a bit...I have made a conscious-decision to let my very very old WIPS go...there is a reason they are not done yet, so instead of being miserable one more year, I am unraveling the yarns, cutting up the fabrics, etc.  no more guilt over icky wips for me!!
