ha ha ha I love it...just throw away the list and have fun--oh pinokeeo, that is so great!

ok--update: I emailed the people that I needed to verify the count...as you can see, some people posted pics of what they made and some people decided not to count certain things, etc.  What a big old mess! Cheesy

Good news is that so far, everything is matching up with everyone and there were quite a few large projects...remember that it is a random drawing, so a person with one ticket can still be drawn!  Hopefully, I will hear from the few people still MIA--and if not, I will just have to use what they posted as their count...fair?

Hubby volunteered to draw so blame him if you do not win!! Cheesy

I use it for mostly the flowers in my garden--I need to doublecheck for the one for veggies...I think it is similar -- the stuff washes off when you water or when it rains, and heaven knows how many butts people throw out their car windows and gets into the water system, so it probably is "safe"...Cheesy

Laughing Lark--sorry that your leg is still giving you pain...but I sure do love your scrubbies...and so many of them!! wow...

I think I am going to love Frugral Fridays!

Love the idea to keep on growing green onions!  How yummy would they be in sour cream for potatoes made on the grill this summer!

pixieval--that is one huge loom!  I like it much better than the cardboard looms I have been seeing..it looks substantial!

goldfishpollywog--wow--your garden is growing fast!  Love your idea for the trellis!--Your loofah looks wonderful...mine is withering daily.. Sad  I think it root rotted!

OK--here is my Friday tip...this is a recipe from Jerry Baker, who has tons of great tips for using everday things for your plants and garden...I love him because not only are his mixes inexpensive, they are safer and work really well..

This is his general bug spray...now he recommends using one of those 20 gallon sprayers, but we use ours for weed control and you should never use the same container for obvious reasons...plus, I am not about to drag around a 20 gallon thing spraying for the few bugs I do get on certain plants!

The basic recipe: mouthwash (I used two small bottles--maybe 1/4 cup; free from hotels my brother stayed in),
dishwashing liquid--about 2 tablespoons
tobacco--I used one menthol cigarette and two cigar butts
water, to fill up bottle

Soak the tobacco in about 1 cup of water until it turns brown and stinky...you can use chewing tobacco, but I always seem to find cigar butts in the ash bin outside my hubby's studio door (no smoking in my house, please!)...this is really nasty looking stuff, so strain it into your bottle and then pitch the soaked tobacco gunk.  Add the other stuff then fill up bottle with water.  Be sure to mark it!

Ta-Da--it does not smell as bad because of the mouthwash...spray on plants and on any bugs you see--maybe once a week or more if needed...it kills some bugs but it also deters others...depends on if the bug has a soft body or a hard body...
15164  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: What are your favorite salad toppings/ingredients? on: June 04, 2010 09:38:53 AM
ha ha I counted 5 salads that I have eaten this week...I think this thread makes me hungrier for salads---I ordered an apple/cranberry/walnut/turkey salad for lunch today...it is awesome and made by Simply Turkey...it also has celery (which is a great filler and practically no calories!)...

Anybody watching calories should watch how many nuts they eat...I just read that 1/2 nuts can be as much as three donuts!!  Of course they are nutritious, but you do have to monitor the quantity...

Any good suggestions for low cal dressings other than balsamic vinegarette?  I love creamy dressings but need lo-cal ones! Cheesy

just checking in, I have a question that is not inchie related.

What is a whip bag? Is it just a tote bag? Does it have certain pockets? Can it be any size?

Do you mean WIP bag?  It is anything that will carry around a Work-in-Progress--like for knitting, crochet, embroidery--I use them all the time to organize my various projects...not for inchies, though, I use a plastic project box...some have pockets to hold needles, tools, etc.

I definitely would not re-do the shrinkies!!!  remount them on stock or something! UGH!  that is horrid!  I bet they look great!

What a great idea!  I need to measure my table legs to see if they would fit down into them (on the metal tables, there are those folding things that might get in the way...)...It would be nice to have the table a bit higher for my heighth!

I FINALLY finished my awesomeness...and now I'm fretting that it's not awesome enough. Biting my fingers...I won't be able to send til next week, probably Monday so I have a little time sit on it and make sure it's as awesome as can be. It is pretty amazing to see it all assembled after weeks and weeks of working on bits here and there.

I am at that assembling the bits and pieces part and fiddling with some design dilemmas!  Yesterday a friend suggested a different layout and I nearly got sick...but I agree with her, so I had some "reworking" to do...I have no doubts that whatever you do will be awesome for me!!

I just hope that what I am making is "artsy" enough for you and does not look like something purchased at the Longest Yard Sale... Cheesy

hee hee -- one of the girls gave me a whole cigarette...I hesitated to ask because I know they are so expensive, but she said it was broken anyway! YAY!

I bet stop smoking is a frugal tip...wow--it is very expensive!  I am glad I quit years ago!

BTW--I agree--nice neat stacks of gorgeous fabric Eko!  I was wondering what Maremare was going to do now that her cardboard wrapped fabrics aren't working...all of my fabric is in plastic bins every which way...

so far, knock on wood, I have managed to keep my room fairly clean and am almost done with my sewing room!!!  It would be nice to be able to plan Christmas crafts and do them in nice clean rooms! Cheesy

oh cat--I meant to ask if in your vintage patterns if there is one for an apron that has a back and a front--like a smock...I saw one on True Blood that I absolutely am obsessed with making! Cheesy
