awww--thanks lovesclutter...to be honest, it is generally the person I am making for that inspires me...it is funny when you make things from your heart how creative you can be...they are definitely tied together...

tcmatteson--you big tease!  Can't wait to see all the things you are making...I thought we were not suppose to post to more than one board for the same project... Wink

Ok the terms of this craftalong is to try  (wierd grammer, but its late and I am tired) and post something in the completed projects boards during 2010, no-one is going to come to your house and throw a pie in your face you if you post something that you did years ago, but your conscience might dictate that you have to push a pie into your own face as it really should be new projects....and no multi-board projects! the idea was to push our comfort zone to encompass all of crafster.

Good that you are branching out!  This has definitely been challenging...although, I find that I am sewing for so many of the boards...Pets, Shoes, etc. so I need to focus on other techniques!!!

My girlfriend Deb at work loves to cook!  She also loves purple and olives--I found this fabric over a year ago and had it all cut out, but then got waylaid with other projects...I used the last week of February to finish off some of the projects for my co-workers, who always got to see the swap items I sent out...

Deb had no idea I was working on this and was very happy that she finally got something I made for just for her (I did make her a scarf like 4 years ago that she still wears...time to make another scarf, I guess!). oh, and you can't see it, but there are tiny purple flowers in the fabric so there was a method to my madness in picking the purple trim!  Cheesy

they turned out great!

Certainly wearable with pride!

When you ironed on your freezer paper did you have something hard between the t-shirt and the ironing board?  My ironing board is a bit too padded so I use a piece of cardboard--for some reason the freezer paper (also iron in interfacing and wonderunder!) seem to work better with a hard flat surface and not a padded one!

Can't wait to see future projects now that you have learned this!

hee hee KLKing--I know what you mean--when you start something, especially a piece of clothing, all of a sudden you need all of the accesories!  You are working hard to woo that man, so I am sure it is going to pay off!! You go girl!!!

NO PEEKING KITTYKILL, if you want to be surprised!  Wink

oh, she'll peek--I know her!

*******************************
When you have a friend who has the blues, what can you do to cheer her up?

Why decorate a rubber duck, of course!

Nothing like a bit of glam to make you feel all fuzzy inside!

Close-up of fluffy eyelashes and beauty mole!

And of course, any respectable glamour duck would not leave the house without her best frilly undies!

Love you kittykill...glamour duck will be arriving home soon!  Kiss

d'uh oh--looks like I am in trouble (again!)...

I am about to post to the Toys Board...all I can say is what do you get when you take a bottle of wine, a rubber duck, and a hot glue gun... Cheesy
15170  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Quilts for Kids Quilt-along on: March 05, 2010 04:19:38 PM
I think the 4 patch quilt is the one they send to everyone but you don't have to follow the pattern for your second one...I think they wanted to make the simplest pattern to accomodate all levels of quilters...as long as the size is about the same and you care just as careful with making sure to quilt heavy and have no "obstacles" for the kids, they are fine...I have a very very simple pattern about the same size that uses rectangular blocks...I am going to do that for my next set of 2!

Thanks for starting this thread...it is very motivating and inspiring!
