The description does not say anything about it not being a 3-d project...I think the key is that you are documenting a part of life in pictures...I read the other categories and I see nowhere else to put it...you are not making a journal, ATC, altered thingy, homemade paper...

There is no wrong way to do it...and use whatever you want for embellishments--I bet it will be a wonderful memory piece for you...

I am photoshopping my scanned pics and hope to work on my page this weekend...it only has a few pics on it because back when I was a kid, not a lot of people had cameras! Wink

There's a lot of types of rip-stop, Always. Some of the stuff I have is soft and slippery, like parachute material. It's also available in so many different finishes. I've actually seen some that was real thick and hard.
Are your lunch bags supposed to have a handle? Roll over top with velcro? Both? Do you want me to make you some? How thick do you want them?

thanks so much for the offer...but, I am using licensed Girl Scout fabrics for the outside for a specific charity event for my sister...I found out that the stiff stuff is what I am suppose to use--like for banners!  It gives the bags shape and is tough and washable...It seems like it ravels a lot so I am going to serger the seams...yeah--velcro (which I hate!) and I am making thin long straps to be able to carry over the shoulder...the outside fabrics are really cute---thin mints, badges, and going green...

I look forward to destashing the stuff!

There might not be any family members left...I have no children so I am sure all of my stuff will either be thrown out or placed in auction...so maybe I should start writing a whole bunch of naughty letters to phathom lovers and someday one of your children will use have an interesting conversation about making stuff with old love letters? Cheesy

Also, just in case, I have made it very clear to the lawyers what to do with all of my crafting stuff! Wink

oooo sajona!!! Now I am really excited!!

It must be the same thing as the stuff on my wooden doors--the color is the same--I bet it was wood varnish!  Is your plaque still glossy?  My ornaments are... Cheesy

omg--I love the beaded cardinal!!!  See--if it weren't for these craftalongs, I would miss so much stuff!!!

veri--what you do to link is basically, highlight the web page address at the top (the http:/www....thingy)....copy it and insert it into your post...

That gives a link to the entire thread....if you want a specific post, like just the one with a pic, click on the post title, the http:\www address will change and become more specific...highlight it, copy and insert into your post...

like this:

or this

PM me if you need more help and maybe I can walk you through it step by step!
14930  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Beaded cardinal with wing detail pic on: March 05, 2010 09:10:18 AM
Cardinals are my favorite and this is so lovely!

I love the details on the wings...

I know you worked hard on it because I hate working with seed beads!  It takes a steady hand and good eyes!

I bet it would be lovely hanging in a large picture window so the birds can see it as well!! Cheesy
