14831  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: One Tiny Stuffie Round 8-SIGN UP 09/25/11 TILL 10/08/11 OR FULL SEND-11/14/11 on: September 28, 2011 06:15:19 AM
I see some familiar names filling up the swap!!  I am so excited...plus, I read the send date wrong and thought it was October and not November!!  Now I am extra happy about that!  It will make it so much more fun not to have anything due in October--I want to finish my wee house in the craftalong...

I am looking forward to swapping with any of you!!

I wallpapered one of the room with sheet music that belonged to my deceased father-in-law...he played in a lot of big bands as a drummer and left us boxes and boxes of yellowed music sheets...I used two whole sheets Grin...

I am getting a bit impatient by having to finish off the surfaces before putting the house together...but I know it will be so much easier...I am going to do a big push to get those done this weekend so I can start having fun filling my little house

I made a couple of shelves using some of the punched out pieces that came with the house...

knickertwist--you are so right...I feel confident that I will be able to put the victorian house together now that I understand how these kits work!!  I have another 40% off coupon so I think I will get another house for future use!

pretty great...I would love to do something like this in the band room...I bet it will be very sturdy and almost indestructible!

Wow--looks like you spent a lot of time cutting and piecing, but it turned out really well!

I actually like all the little piecing bits on back and also the side arms...great place for the remotes! Grin

thanks for sharing!

You did great in that swap!  I loved the colors of the apron and the needlebook was wonderful!!

I love owls, so all of your projects made me smile!  Your partner definitely had a huge smile on her face...I love that!

it helps to put the glue on with a brush...just be sure to clean it...I have ruined many brushes by forgetting to rinse out the glue... I have never tried rubber cement...does it have a smell?
14838  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Ruffle purse on: September 27, 2011 11:16:30 AM
I think it is the best crochet purse that has come around in a while!  Love the color and the ruffles...so cute and ready for fall!  Thanks for the pattern info!  This is a must make... good job!

I also do not have wood working tools...I will confess to using my jewelry nippers ...I also used scissors and sandpaper since the edges were all jagged...hubby said to try a dry wall saw...it is small and manageable...but not for me it wasn't...

Missingwillow--I am using Elmers or everything...I just watered it down for my wallpaper...I even used it to age my walls with cracks...

Mix a little brown paint in with it and it works like Mod Podge to seal the paper and age it all at once--if you are going for that look

Looking at the past galleries I saw how much people love this swap...I have a feeling there is going to be some disappointed people if they don't sign up soon!

Wow--and there are some pretty fun and talented people already signed up...GREAT!
