The journal is fantastic!!  I love the wide eyed kitty...but then again, the birdie is also pretty great...and the necklace--I bet it looks wonderful on, superstitch...what a lovely package!

ha ha --if it weren't for craftster swaps, I would not have ANY magnets at all on my fridge!!  Aren't we lucky? Cheesy

OK--I have to retake the pic of the second scarf and hat that I received from Sweety28303, but I can't wait to post the cute little rabbit and the green crochet scarf I got...actually, I am afraid that the rabbit will get pilfered by one of my nieces so this might be the only picture I get! Smiley

I love his long ears!!!

I will get a better picture of the other items I got(a brown hat with a matching scarf), hopefully this weekend...thanks so much!  I know I will be wearing both scarves this winter! And the hat actually fits my big head!! Cheesy

OK--I am trying to get the word about this very special FOC scholarship to do the Sketchbook Project...I thought this was a great place to post since so many of you have such excellent drawing skills...but you do not have to draw to do this project...please take a look and join us, and enter to win your sketchbook, if you like!

This is going to be an awesome gallery as well...

The cube is awesome but I think a basic set of blocks would work with this technique...

I think I saw another person here who has cut all of her pillows the same...I just took my scissors and started chopping--I did layer two fabrics together so I at least got the same shape for each pillow...but, I still think it will be nice and interesting even if it is neatened up!

Laughinglark--your weaving is just so awesome--and you have so many different ways of doing it--t-shirts...wow...
and the brown scarf is so handsome looking--any guy would love it!

I took pics of my 4 crochet market bags...I only have about 1/2 skein of cotton yarn left...so from now on, no cotton yarn stashing unless I have a specific project! Cheesy

I am learning that I do not need to attend EVERY sale...there is always a sale... Cheesy...If I miss one, in a week or so, there will be another one...breathe... Cheesy

Thanks craftylittlemonkey--I am also a pretty rigid person and am working on letting go...Cheesy

The only thing I would worry about using this for a child's toy is that if they are small, you would not want to use anything for embellishments that they can choke on...but they are nice and soft and would be great with just the stitching!

A belt is another great idea! And the bottom of jeans!  I have a local store here that loves little items to sell to the college kids--I will take them some samples and see how that goes!  Thanks...

Keep working on yours--the more you do, the freer your stitching--I think that a lot of styles work with this...I loved the all one color journals that Teesha Moore showed in one of her videos...I would love to try an all white one as a wedding gift album cover!!

Post yours, craftylittlemonkey--we will help you get messy!! Cheesy

I paid for the digitizing only because I know I won't do it...I have a hard enough time taking pictures to worry about that and I figure I can make CD's of the digitized images for friends and family!

I think I am going to succumb to removing the pages--it is too hard to work in a bound book...

Hope to see some inspirtational pics this weekend!

aww jodilee--thank you so much for your words of encouragement...jumping in was the hardest part and now it is quite fun and the ideas keep on pouring in!

I like the idea of doing something round, but I imagine doing something small and round would be a challenge..

I also think the idea of using denim for backs is another great idea...I never throw out jeans but the pile is getting quite unmanageable now...I think I might have to try that idea as well...

I started making a few pillows for the hubster's jeans...I am using fleece inside so as not to make them too poufy...

Phizzy--instead of a whole skirt, it might be nice to just put them around the hem--I can picture a cute denim skirt decorated with them...I doubt I could do a whole skirt...

A ball!  How exciting!  Hubby wants me to patch his jeans with pillows...he likes the look...

phizzy, I have a footstoll from Viet Nam that looks very much like it was made with a similar technique--lots of quilting and embroidery--it looks like it was made with rectangles for the sides and triangles sewn points together to make a round top and bottom...challenging but looks doable!
