awww--what a happy surprise to see those lovely pages!  I like your challenge to get a few pages done this weekend, rackycoo...I have so much catching up to do (the hand is about 80% healed, I think!)...

Can't wait to see an explosion of pages hopefully next week---keep on posting those lovelies, everybody--it is quite motivating and inspirtational!

wow--this is totally awesome!  I think it is the first time I have seen this type of crochet, so thanks for the info and links as well!

It turned out wonderful--and I bet lining it helps also to keep it strong and safe for many many years!

Great job!

The pineapple is fabulous!

What a beautiful journal cover in some of my favorite colors!  I love how you personalized it with the embroidery of a saying!

I told my nieces about wanting to add pages that their kids did and now they want to each do one as well!  Smmarrt, I think it is great to include special things relating to family and friends...they are a big part of our lives so why not!?

I have done basically more background pages since my wrist injury in preventing me from doing fine details and such...hopefully, this weekend will be a time of mucho crafting and sketching to catch up!

What a happy and gorgeous dotee!  You can definitely see the details put into this--and the story and use of recycled items is wonderful!

I agree that sparkley things can make even the dullest days bright and cheery!

I love that dotee!!

I love the pug and the owls (sorry, late but I forgot to bookmark the gallery!)...

I will need to catch up later when I can type more...but so far, wonderful and varied ATC's!

I am with racky--my pages are not bound yet so I have been doing backgrounds one sheet at a time (or two at a time if I do both halves)...I did notice some leakage from the front to the back, but I kinda like it so I am not worrying too much about it...Aroz...I think your page background looks terrific!

I got a box for my journal and just threw in a bunch of supplies...I am still doodling on scraps and then working at home so at least everything is together in one place.
14829  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Practice Makes... on: August 20, 2010 01:10:01 PM
Beautiful fabric masks flaws that probably only you can see ! Wink

The Amish purposely make things with flaws because they believe only God is perfect!  I like that idea and include a goofy/mistake block in all my quilts!

If you sew the patches together with the edges on the outside, you could bind them and make a tote bag...add fabric to the bottom and sides (be sure to make them two sided so you won't have to line the bag!)...I think it is great to practice and then be able to use your practice pieces!

Love you quilts, waggonwest...they are just so happy!

wow pixieval--I think praying to the postal gods helped a lot!

The blanket turned out fabulous (hee hee --after having re-do's? )...thanks for sharing the technique as well....

onegroovyday--those bowls are beautiful and aren't they fun?  I bought mega spools of thread today because they do take a lot of thread!

The snack bags are also so handy!  What cute fabric!
