I think skirts are a great clothing project for beginners and experienced seamstresses!

Yours turned out quite lovely and just in time for spring! Excellent!

Your button placement is perfectly flattering and cute!!

I think it is a terrific project and great that you finally did it!

I love that we can get inspired by what is readymade and make something unique for ourselves!

I love a lot of the dresses in your links--especially now that I know the fabric can be painted and turn out so nice! Cheesy

You are inspiring me to clean and reorganizing my sewing room!  I might even paint it! Cheesy

Nothing like spring to start things fresh! Cheesy

and, no joke...I was looking for something that I knew I had in a box and guess what I found...a half a coconut, which was made into some sort of bowl!! Cheesy  Hubby thought I was nuts squealing over it...I think it needs to become a spindle! Cheesy

I am learning to embroider--it does take time and patience!

I hope to be able to do some of my own hoops soon!

I love that you can do such different things---just like the two different pieces you got!
14658  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Whoopie Pie Recipe ...You'll Thank Me Later! on: March 23, 2011 08:17:23 AM
butter would not work--it has to be shortening! Cheesy  as gross as it sounds to be, eating gobs of shortening would be way better than eating gobs of butter... Cheesy really? Cheesy

yep--GOBS!  ha ha isn't there some sort of weird controversy or something between PA and another state on who invented the whoopie pie? Cheesy We know it was the Amish, right? Wink

edited to add: omg--it is Maine! ha ha I Sew Cute, looks like your whoopie pies are making the news in Maine! Cheesy

14659  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Harry Potter - Luna Lovegood Scarf - My Take - PATTERN & CHART ADDED! on: March 23, 2011 08:02:07 AM
Thanks for the info!  A dear friend of mine bought some sort of sock loom and is giving it to me...I wanted to try it before I committed to getting anything more expensive, although I do have my unused Joann coupon Wink...if it is a KB Sock Loom that would be great...there are just so many beautiful colors in sock yarn...I plan on crocheting this scarf again using a varigated DK weight yarn!  I love it!

I love long scarves--so versatile...the color is a gorgeous purple as well...

I got another package yesterday from kjbaloo! Another near postal disaster...what are they doing back there?

But, inside, oh wow, lots of crochet squares for my Craftster-made afghan!  ha ha I could almost make one just out of this pile! (also, see the cute froggy card!)

Hard to pick my favorites, but I love these four!

kjbaloo, thank you so much for making my birthday a happy memory...and, I will be thinking of you and all my craftster friends when I get my afghan done!
