thank you! There are certain sewing tasks that I refuse to do...Grin

I managed to use up about 5 yards of curtain fabric!  I bought tons when the drapery store went out of business...I needed some curtains for a doorway to my laundry room...now what to do with the other 25 yards...

Thanks!  I am constantly crafting because I get so motivated and inspired by things I see...plus, I am known to have tons of crushes and then I start stalking people for ideas and projects to do! Grin

I can't wait to learn new skills, try new patterns, and share them with such a supportive group!

ha ha--if you guys were meanies, I probably would have given up ages ago...

It turned out nice!

I generally use cottons but I also love the new home decor heavier fabrics...even upholstery fabrics...I think once they are filled up, they stand up just fine anyway...and, believe me, once you have them, they get filled up quickly with all sorts of things!

Keep on sewing---I bet you will get through the whole list before long! Cheesy

Your man is so funny, k-star!! Grin

I love the rainbow wristwarmers...what a nice way to use up bits of knits...

Hubs gave me four more pair of jeans but only the back legs are useable...the knees are blown out, the ass is worn out...he thinks I am going to patch them for him...NOT! Cheesy  I am cutting those suckers up and making him get decent ones!

I love the brights with the black...very eye catching Sera!  It is also quite large...did you quilt it yourself?

alwaysinmy room - what was the tutorial you use for the denim backed quilt? I have a bunch or jeans that could possibly have a home now.... I've been trying to figure out what to do with them.

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=318697.msg3671143#msg3671143

So far, I have not had any issues...I am using my heavy duty Kennmore and I have about 20 squares so far...I did find another pile of jeans in the closet...this is not my usual style, but I figured the denim would hold up outside!

I want to cut them up even if I don't use them so I won't grow back into them...Grin

Quilt for Kids--it is a charity where they send you a quilt kit, you make it and send it back...they give them to kids in hospitals... there is a complete thread about it that is continuous...not a lot of activity lately, but I still make about six a year...I think there are regulars that do it...

The only thing I do not like about it is that you rarely get any feedback about what happened to your quilt...in the few years that I have done it, I have never seen or gotten any information...it would be nice to know that some child or family enjoyed the quilts, but, that is just me...

They have free patterns on their website...they are fast and easy and all of the measurements are accurate!
