Sorry--I did not mean to speak about you in third person!!  I just was not sure how often you visit the site! Cheesy

I am still waiting for mine...I am only getting junk mail lately Sad

In our store, if the clerk makes a mistake, they honor it...I once got a whole bag of yarn that someone was suppose to mark each one and didn't--so the clerk rang up only $3.29 for six skeins!!!  The manage said it was their fault for not training or marking properly, so he let me take it!  I called it krafty kharma!! Cheesy

I must be a magnet for stuff--I got three skeins of beautiful grey curly wool from a girl at my gym!!! She gave up on trying to knit!  I will be using it for making dolls and dotees!! Not exactly a destash...are we hopeless?

Maybe next year we should call this the "TRY NOT TO BUY" craftalong! Cheesy

Bound buttonholes are challenging and very unforgiving if you make a mistake, but I am sure you will be fine!  Your skills will definitely set your fashions at a high level of quality---there are still plenty of people who appreciate quality so hopefully, you will be able to find a job in your field!

Do you have a source for beautiful fabrics there?  I have a few pieces from Germany but I am sure I bought them while in France! Cheesy

Good luck--show off your final project...!

Glad to see that there are still people who love challenges in sewing!

How gorgeous are the details in your dress!!!

You picked a lovely fabric and did a marvelous job on the fit...good for you--it is very lovely!

What beautiful work!  I am glad you posted because I know there will be many of us who would love to swap with you now that we have seen your gorgeous stuff!!!!

Sorry you got flaked on, but remember that only the organizer knows all of the facts...maybe there was a good reason...but nonetheless, please don't let hurt feelings stop you from doing it again...like I said, most people who join a swap are just awesome!!! (like pantsafari!)

The embroidered piece is my favorite--it is so well done!!

Can't wait to see all of the new frugal items...I am in the frugal craftalong and always looking for ideas to try!  You guys are incredible with your ideas and crafting!

You can mix materials but you would have to make the non stretch big enough to fit over the head, shoulders and hips...kinda big...then use elastic at the place they are joined under the bust...ha ha--so sorry, but at least you learned!

I will proceed to use her tute to make my nightgown, with a few modifications (I don't want to strangle myself at night so I am making the straps into a drawstring that I can tie at the bust...)

So true--bound buttonholes and other such details are becoming lost techniques, that is why I was excited to see the facing! Cheesy

I think you were right on not putting pockets in the skirt--too much bulk, but you only need one set in a suit, so I am glad you picked the jacket...

I am excited to see your final project for your exam--I bet it will be wonderful!

Your school teaches all of the dressmaker fine details? You are so lucky!!
