YAY! Our gallery is going to be filling up soon!! Even if we all saw the prototypes, it is so much more fun and exciting to see them when each of us gets a package!!
how_german--your stuff continues to delight and please! The tiny stitch markers are so cute and different--and your sense of humor and wit seems to show itself it many of the items you make!!
You know--I often wonder what people do when they embroider clothing items that might get small or worn out--I mean a lot of work goes into doing hand work like that--I am guessing that they can be cut out and made into appliques, but I am not sure how that is done...
I found some awesome tea towels at a flea market that I know took the woman who did it months to embroider--the fabric is pretty stained and worn out but the embroidery is just too beautiful to throw out!
What do you guys do? Any ideas? I would love to preserve more of these items and make them useable instead of just letting them sit in a box for no one to enjoy...
Thanks! My hubby is buying me a knitting patterns book I saw at Borders. I have every needle size now, including circular ones, so I am going to just start browsing the knitting sites (knitty)...I think my downfall is going to be trying to follow a pattern--I have the attention span of a gnat...
BTW--our dogs kinda look alike--yours looks like mine when he was a pup...husky, doberman, shepherd, devil mix---hee hee
Original youth--you took what could be common place items and turned theminto unique and special items!! The bucket does not even look like the same piece!! Redoing the inside of the frames is a nice idea as well--well done!
Is it a beginner knit stitch? I am just learning now (I can do knit, purl so far!)--I love the lacy look!! Did you use a pattern or are you like these other fabulous knitters who just "wing it"!! ha ha
