I caved...I bought six fat quarters...two I needed for a swap...I also had to buy some solid fabrics to make more Quilts for Kids with the main fabrics coming out of my stash...however, I finally gathered up 15 yards of fabric to send to another craftster who is NOT destashing Cheesy

I actually made room in one of my bins to move some fabric I had stored under my bed!! Progress!!

Make sure that you did not accidentally hit "Ignore replies from this thread"-- go into the tab and look...you can then uncheck it and it will start up again...I did that once and could only find stuff because I bookmarked it..

one of my goals is to learn to embroider!!  I can cross stitch and needlepoint and do a couple of stitches, but I am really terrible at it...I have tons of patterns and thread so I really really have to work on this!

ha ha ha omg--you crack me up!!

My mother is Japanese (80 years old in two weeks!) and loves to screw with people...I made a kanji ATC and showed it to her...she asked me why I was sending someone a card that said horses butt...what?!!! She was kidding...phew...bu t true, how would the person have known?

Yeah--I would hate to insult anyone or make something that is offensive!  I will have to rely on family and friends to review my inchies before displaying them!

Edelc--I was going to mention to you that I pulled out the brocade dining chair covers that were to be sent to the charity store...ha ha--I was asked to make a coat for a friend for the Renn Faire! I looks as if I might have enough (8 chairs worth), but they will have to be pieced together...it was suggested to me that I use some trim to cover the seams but it seems a bit patchworky to me to do that...as I am not any sort of expert (this will be my first costume!)...I was wondering if you had any suggestions!

ohthemuppet!! how exciting--is this the modge podge silkscreening that bethieb was refering us to?  I am going to try it for the silkscreening board!

I know that plenty of shrines have been made and posted--I believe it is categorized as altered works...such a beautiful piece...wow--24 inches is fairly large

I have an embroidery machine but would prefer to do something like that!! It was awesome....thanks for the link!
