oh Mare--I always thought you should be a quilts moderator!!!! Congrats!

I just worked on two charm quilts this morning...one was super fast and easy (about one hour)...the other requires lots of sashing...

Where are the other members of this craftalong?  Isn't anyone quilting?

ok--I think I feel like I am in great company, COL!  I love working among all of my stuff...and the kids I love the most are the ones who want to join me in my room...they are the curious, artsy, and interesting ones...and they are not afraid to make a mess because it is a mess already! Cheesy  Love your room!

also, what a great way to save the little valentines!

I love taggy blankets for kids...I had to learn what they as well! The polka dot theme is fun.

mel--the girl version of your quilt is very lovely!

k-star--tribal dancing is so freeing and fun...love the dancing outfits...

The bottom is a box?  Your painting techniques are so wonderful...

I love how you find things randomly and just find homes for them in your projects...I love this!

oh my...that is wonderful!  Off to read the thread...the details are what I need (is that a vice? overly detail-oriented?)

Love the stand...off I go

I have a friend who works at Joann's...they put a lot of items on sale so you can't use your coupon on purpose...I actually wait for things to NOT be on sale so I can use my coupon...usually for batting or a big supply like a quilting template, etc.

I loved it when they used to let you use your coupon even on sale items...they would use the regular price, but you could use the 40% off...maybe we all need to complain on their website... Cheesy

oh no sloth!  We will have to craft in your honor! Sad Cheesy

mel--I love that fabric...I think I am going to have to head to Joann's...I have not been there for ages but could use some more basic supplies...

Welcome, Craftyoldlady! We try to help each other tame our stash, but there is no punishment when we fall off the wagon (which we seem to do a lot! Smiley )

I am about to cross the "saving trash" hoarder...now I want to wash out every tomato can I get...what an adorable pincushion...oh no....must not save one more thing!

I love the cute baby quilt, mel... Wink

Also, the spider web quilt is a great stash buster!  Can't wait to see that quilt!

I am falling behind in my destashing...more seems to be coming in than going out... Sad

I will need an intervention soon...

Very cute and practical!

It looks like you put the lining and the outside fabric together then folded it up to form the pocket...I think it's kind of nice to have the lining peek out like that...

But if didn't want it to show, you could sew the main fabric as a pocket first, do the lining slightly smaller, and then put them together right sides together, sew around the top, leaving a bit to turn it inside out..I would top stitch down the top, but you could hand sew the opening shut as well...

I always make lining a tiny bit smaller so that some of the outside fabric pulls to the INSIDE and is not seen, but really, your choice of fabrics and how you put it together is very cute and modern...I would be very happy with the results!

Now, make one for my Nook, please... Cheesy  I just haven't gotten around to doing it! Cheesy

Mio--your designs are quite stunning and I love that you use "scraps"...

This is a very innovative use of the Jacob's ladder (I have only seen it straight up and down!)...I think you should considering selling the pattern in your shop...I know I would pay for all of your hard work! Cheesy
