14401  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: craftalong to, post a project on every completed projects board in craftster on: February 28, 2010 12:39:07 PM
I think I am avoiding the same boards as everyone else! glass, spinning, and probably stenciling...I did buy freezer paper...so that is a start...ok--two weeks to mentally get prepared!!

It is so great to have all of your support and thanks for sharing your fears as well!!

I think it is great to at least try out a board I am not familiar with, just to know that I tried...ok--going to plan the supplies and what I will need to do to get those boards out of the way... Cheesy

Wulf--I would love to see that vintage knitted lace...I have the tinest knitting needles from my grandmother and I always wondered what they would be used for...I bet it was used for lace!

the yarns are yummy--love kool-aid dyed yarns--such a gorgeous color mix

the crocheted Nibbler is very cute--perfect with his goodies by his side!!

love the earring holder--plastic canvas used for needlepoint also works but I think it is a bit thick...I love the screen idea much better--now get going on filling it out! ha

I also keep things way too long...always thinking that I will recon it or pass it on...I wish people would pay more attention to waste and recycling rather than what is in fashion at the time...if you still use it or it is functional, keep it!

I craft and sleep in my hats...I like being warm!!
14404  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: 1945 Shoulderette is Finished! Here it is.... Pattern is in knitalongs board on: February 28, 2010 09:02:38 AM
It turned out beautifully!  But you knitted it too quickly for me to follow along in your craftalong--ha ha--I still am determined to make one by spring!

I definitely think it can be worn with lots of things! Not sure I could do it in crochet just yet, but I bet it will turn out just as lovely!

I wish I had not cut up the sweater I found at goodwill!!  That sleeve was just too great and would be perfect for me in my accounting office!!

Love the pins and all that yarn!!! We will look forward to seeing all of the projects you will be making with it!

Managed to get in one more claim this month!

ok--one more day until March...I wish I could say I worked on my wips, but instead I cut out fabric for six more quilts...I still have one more day, right!!?

I counted all of the items I have made so far, not including ATC's and Inchies--44 individual items!! I won't be able to do a lot in March and April because it is getting close to tax crunch time, so  I had to get ahead a bit!!

Ok--enough time on the computer--off to finish my three wips by tomorrow!

sorry to hear such bad news! I find that in this bad economic times, you have to become quite resourceful...I have been working out of my stash for over three months now with little bursts of splurge on yarn...

sounds like you are fnding ways to make things as well to make yourself happy without busting the budget!! can you work on a smaller wip or else with your skirt, take a pic and maybe someone here can help you at least get started!?

keep a positive note so you can bring that to your interviews!!
