14391  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Crafted Cushion Cover Swap Gallery (SO Mar12) on: March 15, 2012 12:01:23 PM
The scarf pillow is a great idea for upcycling!  I love the Bohemian look!

The ruffled scarf looks like it was made for that bed!  I love the special closure...stealing that idea!

Also, the circle flowered pillow is beautiful!!

I have definitely taken notes from this swap...so many great ideas

oh...and the koi pillow with all of the textures is one of the most beautiful cushions I have ever seen!  All of that detail!

Lime--I saw your pillow in advance and it looks even better in this gallery!  I love how you mimicked the fabric pattern with your embroidery...gorgeous work.

I love the different styles as well...the corset pillow is so cute and would be perfect for a friend of mine's daughter!

eeek--and the knitted squirrel pillow...I have a hatred of squirrels but I love squirrel stuff...go figure!

You guys nearly killed me in February!

1. 60 pages of stuff
2. 57 color red, pink, rose, purpley items
3. 14 new things tried
4. 33 swaps!
5. 297 projects with pictures

You guys rock!

There were quilts, shawls, ATC's, food, baby stuff, costumes, jewelry, gifts, pottery, paintings, clothes, purses, game boards, furniture,Dr. Who stuff (my fav!), hats, brownies, spoons, kim chee, coasters, socks and more socks, corsets...whew...on and on!  I loved looking at everything again and I even missed stuff the first time around!

Anyway, the random selection picked number #388- that number belongs to :

ECLECTIC DREAMER!!!!!!!  Congrats!

Since today is the 15th, I will do another random drawing from the posts and select a winner tomorrow!

That way, I have the weekend to shop and get prizes!

Rantyhippie--love the storage idea! The shawlette is gorgeous--I love the ruffle edge.

waggonswest--sometimes the simplest ideas are the best!  I could use a few more cake stands to hold some spring flowers!  Beautiful color!

silvermoon--I really enjoyed seeing you share your fun around town!  The eyes must have made a lot of people smile...and the pink army men are just too funny...I bet the lucky people who got a pi were smiling all day!

eclecticdreamer--love your basket and the coasters are very cute!  Is it rope glued to a cork bottom?  Your coils are perfect!

trina--a purple bookcase would make me smile for sure! nice upcycle!

I like the colors and the simple pattern!  Wrinkly is a good thing in a quilt as far as I am concerned...it is a nice gift to give...I have never met a Mom that did not love a handmade quilt!

The bead doll is wonderful!  I love arty dolls like that...the arms and legs are wonderfully jangly-looking!

I have no idea what I am looking at so I can't comment on using buttons for it...it is a crib protector cover?

I love the idea of using my too short tanks and making them into dresses!  Now I have to dig those out of the give away bin! Cheesy

My arms are sore from six hours of quilting a lap quilt!  I know I sweated off a pound or two!  And, I hate to say it, but I actually did the binding by hand!  I have not done that in years, but since the quilt is for a special friend, I sucked it up...and enjoyed it! GASP!

When she receives, I will post it...I made the top last year, quilted it, hated it, ripped it out, quilted it, hated it, ripped it out...but this past weekend, a light bulb went off and I finished it and loved it! Cheesy

Mel--gorgeous butterfly quilt!  I really need to check out the panels...they would make quick projects for some of the gifts I need this summer!

AWESOME t-shirt quilt!  wow!  It is huge and probably chalk full of memories!  I can't believe you stippled the whole thing!  I am not really looking forward to my next quilting job as I plan a stipple as well...looks like the arms will be in great shape for summer! Cheesy

melly--great mug rug for a guy--love the colors! The border is very nice.

ha ha ha "tart" tin---someone, it seems the perfect thing for the self-confessed glitter whore!  Fabulous tin!  Did it include an emergency ax to break open the vials of glitter in dire circumstances?

Eggshell?  oh my...who knew that an eggshell could be so glamorized!

I love the hoarding tin!  So many cute details!  Do you have a separate post for it?  I love the stairs and the wee cabinet...and the buttons!

wow--tremendous finish to this fabulous swap!

Knowing the recipient of this tin, you have definitely captured her extraordinary love/lust of books, skulls, and weathered objects!!  Maybe if she sees this everyday, she will be able to purge herself of these vices...or not! Cheesy

ha--I loved this tin...so much detail in the finished project and now, the details further explained in a an abundance of words...wonderful story of your creative process!
