Adorable turtle blankie!!

A2JC4life--I was hoping you could use the book!  I buy crafting and cooking books and keep them in a bin, hoping for the right person to send them to! Cheesy  That one just seemed right for you, so YAY!

I loved that dress in there even if a person is not preggo!  The mix of fabrics makes the dress so fun!  Enjoy! And, boy, was the mail fast! YAY!

scrappysue--what a beautiful way to use a favorite fabric...it does show of the AH fabric in a good way!

Can't wait to see you jar quilt, jenniegram!  I think I might move my food theme quilt up on my list to do as well!
14155  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: My First Quilt - Full Size on: June 15, 2011 11:28:12 AM
What a lovely accomplishment!  You should be proud!  The colors are nice together and you jumped in with both feet and got it done!

I was always told that each quilt should have a mistake...to honor the fact that humans make are not perfect!  I don't really have to make a mistake on purpose...it happens all by itself! Cheesy  So, don't worry and move on to the next one...

ha ha @danynn...I bet no one noticed that the size was a bit off...after years of quilting, I still get funny mismatched blocks and sizes...

well done!

OK--don't forget that our theme in June are projects inspired by other craftsters...I am not finding many people to do the drawing that is coming up in two weeks! Cheesy

I just realized that I was so busy mailing out prizes and other promised goodies that I have not yet selected the April winner...there were only about 20 in that one...c'mon people!  I have tons of prizes to give away this year! Cheesy

I think I will make up a travel kit for my Teesha Moore stuff...I forget about that all the time! It is something I could do here and there, using up the beads...I need to stop sewing and work on more art stuff...I just have not been inspired!

I think I might work on my papers as well...I have a friend getting married soon who needs tons of paper flowers...

YAY!  What a great idea!  I have so many pieces of flannel--it would be enough weight to quilt and do the strips!  Let me play with that idea...ha ha--so much for doing other projects...

yep--we had the second highest temp in record last week of nearly 96 degrees (36 c)...and then last night, freeze warning! Cheesy

If you sewed the strips directly to the batting, then how would you attach to the backing? Or do you mean the entire block would be made with strips/batting/backing? Then how would you join the blocks?  ha ha--I need to spend more time on the quilt boards...I am clueless..

Interesting...even in the hottest weather, I must have weight on me to sleep! Hubby cranks up the AC so I can have my heavy comforter in the summer! Cheesy

I found a blanket that I am going to use for my scrappy quilt...I want it nice and heavy weight even if it means I will be wrangling it under the machine for quilting!

Is anyone else destashing stuff besides fabric and yarn?  I have tons of jewelry items that I just can't get motivated to destash...
