Beatiful job on both shawls!  They do not even look alike!  If you had not said it was the same pattern, I never would have known!  Such careful work you do!

Very nice colors--it looks so completely different than the first one!

I like the fringe...I bet it will be much appreciated!

totally fun and well done!

loved your story on how you managed to overcome numerous challenges with working with a food item!

I love this and think it is a great representation of the original picture!

I collect old yellowed newspapers for art work, atc's, etc. I use regular newpapers to mulch my beds and to use for cleaning, oil spills, fire starters, etc.  but those are stored in the shed...

oh--I know--ariethine's fabric boxes are wonderful!  I want to make some to store all of my fat quarters by color--and make the fabric boxes one of each color for organization!

I probably need something bigger and rectangle for WIPS and I need to be able to throw in a zipper, thread, etc.  I have my WIP quilts in those plastic zippered bags that sheets and stuff come in, and I wish I had more...

Mio--you are not helping the cause by buying MORE Wink

At least you have a plan to use it up!

I really like black with brights--nice hat!

I think that is a "G"--just the top got cut off... Smiley

They are wonderful!

The naughty ones are so cleverly done...they certainly would catch people off guard if you displayed them (which I would since no kids are around my studio!)...

I also really love the little "Zest" one...

lylacfey--I am continuing to plod away at my mess!  Your room and all of everyone's tips has really motivated me to clean up and declutter/organize!  I actually found my scissors last night without spending 1/2 hour looking for them! ha ha

I am using Maremare's tip to tackle a little area at a time--I think I got overwhelmed before because I was trying to do it all at one time and just got so frustrated that I gave up!

Tonight, I am tackling all of my old newspapers, maps, etc.

What do you guys do with projects you are working on?  I like to cut out about three or four sewing projects at one time...right now I just pile them up wherever...it would be nice to be able to organize them in some way!

I actually think a little vinegar and water used with newspapers cleans windows the best!

I used up about 20 notecards and envelopes and maybe 6 sheets of paper...Sad...not a big dent, but at least I did not buy anything either!

My big big destash is going to be using up the enormous amount of flannel I purchased to make a rag quilt...I am NEVER going to buy huge fabric pieces again until I actually have a project to make right NOW--they are horrid to store and take up so much room!

My goals:

flannel-for rag quilt
skull thermal fabric--hoodie for niece
black french terry--yoga pants
white chenille--short robe
coffee cup flannel--PJ bottoms for Sara
yellow/green/red stripe cotton-back of quilt for Quilt for Kids
Day of the Dead fabric (3 yards)--why why why?
Asian flower print- yukata for me
8 yards Steelers fleece--throws for the boys
6 yards red fleece--what the heck?

phew--if I can get half done, I will have the entire bottom of my one closet cleared!!
