Such a happy quilt for so many reasons...

The fabrics and colors are perfect for a child...and a special child indeed!

I know they will love it and love that you got your mojo jump started again!

Shocked They have Girl Scout cookie fabric? Shocked Must. Have.
I love that strip quilt! The colors are right up my alley, too! Just beautiful!

Thank you..yeah, there is a whole line of both Girl Scout and Boy Scout fabrics...I used them for charity auctions when my sister used to work with the Girl Scouts...working with food fabrics always makes me hungry, though... Cheesy

Acrylic ugly yarn can be combined with other yarns to make a more pleasing color and texture...use two or more strands to create a funky cowl or scarf...that is what I did with my ugly 70's yarn... Cheesy

I love that you made it your own!  The combo of fabrics really does it for me...and this is one of my favorite patterns because it is so newbie friendly!

I hope it has inspired you to make more because I certainly think this one turned out pretty wonderful!

The flower really adds some personality to the bag!

Nice job!

I love the idea of pairing neutrals with monochromatic colors...this is an elegant looking case!

It turned out great!  And, what fun and happy colors you picked!

I know that sitting in that chair and sewing is heaven for you, bongirl5!

Love it!

I think that you chose a nice simple style to let the fabric do all the talking!

It is lovely...the colors are fabulous and you did add your own touch with the ribbon trim...it would be so cute with a summer sweater set...I would pick white, but that blue is also striking!

Well done!
14150  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Blondgirl's verision of a Jeans Rag Quilt (Instructions/Tutorial/Tut/Tute) on: June 14, 2011 07:09:32 AM
I am so glad you are sharing your experience! So far, I have just cut the legs of the jeans open and set things in piles all over the floor!

This is a perfect project to feel like I am using up the jeans that are too nice to throw out but not nice enough to wear out!  Plus, a friend of mine wants a quilt that her daughter can use on picnics...these seems perfect...

Thank you so much for saving me hours of time and aggravation...and you better do another one...I need to be kicked in the butt to get it done! Cheesy
