ha ha --the price probably went up because someone at ikea is a craftster and knew that we would all want to try this for ourselves!!! ha ha--they jacked up the price on us--but usually they have sales all the time...

those are heavenly!!!

you are doing a wonderful job--can't believe you are new to this!

I love anything that has that nice comfy handmade look and feel...and your gloves certainly have that and they are beautiful in color!

wow theresa24--you have quite a nice collection going!

oooo--thanks for the link to learn about how different yarns look! There is so much to learn about knitting!!! I appreciate info from you more experienced knitters...

I keep looking for fun yarns to make more of these! I am doing solid ones now...!

Love the button and the color!--and I have lots of microspun!! wow--I like how that looks--did you change up the pattern? Your ribbing looks different...or is it just the yarn?

samboolance--they might have it online, but I think diedre said you could also try a regular hardware store or hardware section of a store like walmart...I am going to search around...

I am so sick of dragging out those big heavy plastic bins and digging through to find the piece I want...

I was thinking that maybe some sort of plastic or something laying on top of the "shelves" would help with any dirt and dust, but I am not that concerned with that

I am reorganizing this month as well and was wondering what I could use instead of my old beat up bookcase...this idea is just too good...

I like that you can actually see what you have....

Do you have any ideas how to store smaller pieces of fabrics?  I have clear boxes marked by color family right now (I am a quilter...)...also, do you store scraps, and if so, how?

Thanks for posting--I am off to the hardware store tomorrow!!
13538  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: reversible apron on: January 14, 2007 04:08:51 PM
Very modern and fun apron!! I like the "dress" look--and reversible is always a plus!!

Nice job and lucky friend!

65 cents for a pattern back then...wow--I have some of these as well--they brought back memories--uh, and I still use some of them but change them up a bit to look more modern!!

I love Simplicity 3733--there was a style very very similar this fall, but of course the price was much more!!

I am glad I never throw anything out...
13540  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: January Jamboree! (Invite your Partner Round 5) SIGN-UPS CLOSE 12/14!! on: January 14, 2007 03:49:54 PM
rackycoo--I am so looking forward to seeing what you sent...I am really familiar with your "great things come in small packages" items!!

You have been on the top of my dance card for so long...sigh...I will live vicariously through knitting_nyxxie!! ha ha

No holiday for me but most of our clients will be taking it so it will be soooo slow tomorrow--a great chance to catch up at work so it won't interfere mentally with my crafting time!!
