I think t-shirt quilts are very meaningful to people. They seem very popular and requested. I know they must be a pain to sew. You did a lovely job...I love the variety of colors your child wore...it makes for a nice, comfy, colorful quilt!
Wulf--if you did not tell us that was not the original top, we never would have known!!! It matches beautifully! Such nice work!
Acadian--those fabrics are just so lovely! Glad that you are using this craftalong to get going on a long overdue project.
Wile E Songdog...sounds like you have been experimenting and learning a lot...I took out my origami papers to make some things, too...I will get some pictures of what I made after my swap partner receives!
I am also working on several projects at the same time: afghans (3), quilt blocks (64 more blocks to go!), and some items for a charity event in April. This has been very motivating!
The box is lovely! Is it for a gift? Perfect to hide special treasures or favorite jewelry! I love the little owl and the things you added!
Also, that blanket pattern is gorgeous! Do you mind sharing the pattern? I am working on a boring chevron and will soon need a new, pretty pattern for a baby girl! Do you know about how big the blanket is? I agree that the pound of Lion's Brand seems softer than a lot of the baby yarns! Plus, you can often get it on sale and it comes in lots of colors and washes well.
