11  quick knit gift: the fidget. in Knitting: Completed Projects by SpunK on: December 20, 2011 07:20:26 PM

the fidget. by KnitXcorE, on Flickr

I'm obsessed with the Fidget pattern!  I've knitted, like, 3 of these.  They move so fast, but the don't look like 12th hour projects.

There's still time to knit 3 or 4 of these, I promise!!!!

Every year since I found the pattern, this has been my go-to Christmas gift for family and co-workers and whoever else.  I;m seriously fanatical. gah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

12  Introducing Tom, a really hip turkey. in Thanksgiving by SpunK on: November 05, 2011 07:45:06 PM

screenprinted turkey! by KnitXcorE, on Flickr

i made this turkey from a vintage VIP cut and sew screenprint, and I love him to bits!
we really don't have any thanksgiving decorations, so he's all alone on the occasional table.
it's time he's found some friends. don't you think?

13  crepe paper bird mask: martha stewart living. in Halloween Costumes by SpunK on: October 28, 2011 12:15:19 PM

finished: martha stewart bird mask. by KnitXcorE, on Flickr

I'm so excited to have finally finished this!  I bought the mask 2 years ago, but never had the time to make the feathers or paint it.

I'm not much for elaborate costumes, so this is probably exactly what I'll wear on Monday.

this my first (and probably only) rug punch ever!  it was made for a traditional crafting class that i'm taking.  i love the FO but it was extremely time-consuming and it made my back hurts so much. i didn't have a hoop, so i had to hunch over our coffee table.

phew! i'm so glad it's finished!

this is a sampler for a larger Charley Harper inspired piece i'll be working on shortly.
it took a while to get the hang of making all of the loops uniform.
i particularly like the long shaggy ones :-)

19  "vintage" reed diffuser. in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by SpunK on: August 18, 2011 12:10:05 PM
i love reed diffusers but they are a little too shiny/clean for my earthy/1970's aesthetic, so i glued some stuff to the one in my bathroom. cute?

20  The Black Apple Apron. in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by SpunK on: July 12, 2011 08:46:14 PM
A dear friend is moving to the other side of the country, and I wanted to give a special going-away gift.
All materials, with the exception of the embroidery pattern and floss, were vintage and source on etsy from various sellers. I planned this apron weeks ago and just wrapped it up today.
I used the pattern from Lotta Jansdotter's Simple sewing, and a Sublime Stitching transfer kit.

I hope you love it as much as I do!
