11  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitty's Thuja socks question on: July 06, 2006 02:05:39 AM
this should be my first socks, and i'm little confused. it says gauge is 22sts/4". it says, co 44 sts, that should be 8". but my ankle is 9,5". are numbers wrong, will it stretch enough or i simply have fat ankles?

13  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Wrath of Khan wrap on: May 05, 2006 01:01:49 PM
i fell in love with pattern immediately:) it looks so unusual:)
i've changed a pattern a bit, i did back in stockinette, didn't do bottom like supposed and made longer sleeves. i had it on yesterday and my very trendy cousin went totally mad about it and just adores it:) so i guess it is okay:)

14  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / wrath of khan wrap problems on: April 30, 2006 05:58:34 PM
well, i need an opinion. im kinda finishing wrath of khan shrug, i love it very much... all but back. it is supposed to have ribbed part just in the back, but that part doesnt stay centred on the back like it should. so, i need an opinion, should i a)just frog ribbed part and bind off b) leave it as it is c)make a strip over my belly, so it will keep my back in place d) something else, what?

here are photos:) (i didnt bind off any part of it, and sleeves wont be different length, i just wasnt sure will i find one more skein of this yarn in shop:)

15  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / hat problems:/ on: April 16, 2006 08:09:18 AM
well, i'm making this jayne cobb hat. it looks cool. the only problem is, i'm making it for my bf. and it hardly fits me. i used same needles, same yarn and same number of stitches and ended up with hat 3" smaller. i guess i knit tight. my question is, can i make it bigger somehow? blocking? yarn is 50%wool, 50% PA.
16  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / ideas for hand blender on: April 04, 2006 01:27:53 PM
my friend is moving, and i bought her a hand blender, since she won't have place for big food processors in her supertiny appartment. i would like to include some recipes in package, but i have no idea where to look for them. finding some resource would be great, and if you are using it in preparing food, please share your experiences:) my mom has it, and i rarely use it when i'm at her place, just for frape or pancakes.
17  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / knitting a tail on: March 06, 2006 03:34:45 PM
first. don't say i'm weird. i'm not. i promise.

okay, i want to knit myself a tail (not weirder then getting myself breast implants, just cheaper:)). so, i started a tube on dpns. it works fine, it is not laddered or anything... just... how to make it narrower, and then closed on the top? i'm working with worsted yarn, and i have 12 stiches on my needle... i just can't phisically k2tog in that yarn and with that... sharped, dangerous needles (did i mention i made them:)). what to do? i want my tail!
18  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / WoodCube Set on: March 05, 2006 12:27:39 PM
i don't usually post here, but this time i couldn't resist (and my blog is temporary offline, so i can't post there  Undecided)

i think it is quite obvious how it is made:)))
19  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / one skein of yarn projects? on: February 24, 2006 03:01:18 AM
my mother gave me bunch of yarn. problem is, i have just one skein of every kind. some of it is 20 years old. since they are all different thickness, i can't combine them, and since they are so old, i can't find more of all sorts. so, what could i do with them? i've made panta, headband, wrist warmers, kitty toy, what else?Smiley
20  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Decoupaged Kitchen on: February 10, 2006 04:45:01 AM
Hi!
i've decided to decoupage my kitchen (and it is really ugly now), so i was wondering how does decoupage act near the water and heat? i'm using boat lacquier as a glue in this project Smiley
