i received yesterday from simplyfussfree:) i love the whole package, and it totally made my day:)
i've read that magazine 3 times:D and yarn is so... i asked jana to buy me some really cheap yarn because i was courious, but i didnt expect these huuge skeins:)) and shrinky dinks... and sharpies:D and hershey's was yummy, much different then chocolate here:) and that tiny hole puncher.. i think i've already punched a hole in everything:)) and koolaid... simplyfussfree already was my partner once, and she remembered how much i love koolaid (i'm all about yarn dyeing:)) there were some patterns inside, too, but somehow they didn't come in the photo:(
simplyfussfree, thank you so much, you are the bestest swap partner:=))
hi:) i'm newbie in bookbinding, i started learning it since my swap partner wants one, so here is my practice journal:
it is made for one very special person, and i know he will like it even if it's not so pefect. i'm quite proud, but i used some weird paper for cover (i got so addicted that i went to bookshop 5 minutes before closing just to get supplies:)), and glue ate color in few places, so i have put tag with lyrics over that white stain. Pages are not perfectly lined up, i need bit of practice. lyrics on cover say "dreams are worth most when they grew old together with you", something like that:) there are some kitty stickers and punched angels inside, but it's so simple that i would feel bad about putting tons of photos here:)
things i forgot to do: put a bookmark, i had it ready and just forgot to stick it somewhere:( bind one envelope together with pages, for keeping small papers and so, i always glue one to the end of my notebooks
i like your snowflakes a lot! i'm also a beginner, and i tried to make mine over some patterns, but somehow i keep loosing one "point", or i have one too much, so they mostly have 7 points:) only #2 is made just like pattern said, and it looks bit sad. i have to find starch somewhere, they had it in one shop, and don't have it anymore:( i have to weave in the ends, too.
well, i have this totally beautiful yarn: (click for bigger) i've bought it long time ago, and i can't find it anymore, and i have only 4 skeins/560 meters i would like to make some sort of vest with it, but it seems like none of the existing patterns is working, they all need more yarn:( i would like something with deep V, very simple, to wear over my shirts. does anyone have any ideas? gauge is 21st/4"(10cm) on size 4 (3,5mm) needles, but i'm able to modify pattern if it needs different gauge:) i'm ready to pay for it as long as i can do it with my visa credit card (no paypal in my country yet:))
