1  Pac-Man Ghost in CHALLENGE 56 ENTRIES by weirdsisterofprimerib on: November 02, 2010 02:29:57 PM
This year my boyfriend and I decided to dress up as Blinky and Clyde, the red and orange ghosts from Pac-Man.  I'm only submitting Clyde for consideration because Blinky has a less than stellar paint job Embarrassed.  Our costumes were partly inspired by the awesome video game crafts featured on spritestitch.com.

The ghosts are made out of cardboard and I used leftover binding for the straps.

The Front

The Back (Clyde after Pac-Man eats a power pellet)

On Saturday we attended a Halloween street festival and we received a lot of positive feedback for our costumes.  As a naturally shy person, all the attention seemed a little overwhelming.  But I still appreciated all the compliments.  Several people even asked to take our picture.

If you're interested in constructing your own costumes you can check out a two part tutorial I wrote for my blog:

2  My zig zag quilt (aka the circus tent quilt) in Quilting: Completed Projects by weirdsisterofprimerib on: July 23, 2010 09:05:34 PM
I'm relieved to finally have this quilt done.  I used crazy mom quilt's zig zag tutorial.  I made it for my boyfriend's mom who lives in South Dakota. This is my second quilt and the first project I've posted on craftster.

You should visit my blog if you want to see work in progress pics.  The link's in my signature.
