21  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: A bouquet of precious baubles- Asymmetrical Necklace on: February 12, 2007 11:40:00 PM
I really like things asymmetrical myself.
My favorite necklace is two similar bracelets hooked together,
and one is fatter than the other one, made with glass beads.
Not sure if that says something about our personalities or what.... :-)

Your necklace is beautiful.  Great job!
And my compliments for not stressing over it
to make it all balanced.
22  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Sweater from Big Girl Knits on: February 12, 2007 11:36:20 PM
I love your sweater!
But your smile is absolutely wonderful,
since it made me giggle & laugh out loud.

Great job!
The color is lovely.

Oh man!! I love theese, the minute i saw them i got out my febuary MSL magizeins and started cutting them up to make pendants,
so far i've made around 12. Thanks for the inspiration!

Wow!  You go!
I can't stop, either.  I got the new Teen Vogue and
the Adorn mags yesterday, and now I'm at it, again.

Are you putting them on chains, ribbon, or cords?
I've run out of cords & chains.
Now I'm using ribbon,
and putting them in all my Valentine's day cards.

Oh, and I found another card of artistic wire in my stash.
Love, love, love all the bright, shiny, preeeety colors.

I'll post pics when I get them finished.  woohoo!
(I would love to see pics of yours.)

24  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Glass Valentine's Pendants on: February 10, 2007 12:06:38 PM
No, I didn't cover the backs with anything,
but I am thinking about doing that.
I've worn them without a felt backing
and they seem okay.
The coils don't poke your skin.

It's funny because I kinda like the coils
on the back... it seems to add to the "artsy"
look if you peek at the back.

I guess it would be best though,
to cover them if you plan to sell them.

Thanks!

25  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Valentine's Day Centerpiece on: February 10, 2007 11:16:01 AM
yummmmmmmmmy,
You're right!
Maybe a fondant icing ball
(or tree)
as the core,
then attach the candies to it.

I thought about actually dipping everything
in chocolate, too.

woohoo!

Here's a sketch of how
I coiled the wire for the back of the pendants.
I glued everything together with FabriTac glue.

Thanks for looking!

Ohhhh, you know what?
I'll draw a little sketch and post it.
It will take a few minutes, for me to scan it,
and then do all the steps to post it.

Be right back!

I did these yummy candy trees and orbs for my Valentine's Day table.
They're not edible, but they make a huge statement, I think.
I wanted something romantic and sweet for a girl's party.
What do you think?

29  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Hug a Tree on: February 10, 2007 12:09:15 AM
Those are SO cute!
I'm thinking that you could maybe
use your HAND as a pattern for trees.
Maybe?
Idon'tknow, but
I simply love your sweet little trees.
