21  Re: Old Jeans Lazy Boy in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by pattiewack on: November 08, 2006 07:32:25 AM
Oh man!  That chair gets so much attention.  And after covering it with blue jeans, it became a lot more comfy.  Like how your favorite pair of jeans feels, you know?  You DO need a LOT of hot glue sticks, though.  I bought 2 huge packages at the home depot store, and I had 2 glue guns going at the same time.

Thanks for looking!

22  Re: My Bra Purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by pattiewack on: October 23, 2006 08:41:56 PM
Yes, the DD cup size is great for making the bra purses.
I found a dollar store here on Peoria that sells french cuts for $2.00.
I usually buy a C cup, and it is perfect for a little evening bag.

23  glass and glitter pumpkin heads in Halloween Decor and Parties by pattiewack on: October 06, 2006 10:55:06 PM

These were so much fun!  I made a bunch of them and put tea lights in them.  But I think I will put candy corn in some of them to give away.
I love Halloween.  But,I couldn't find black glitter.  So I used those hole-less beads.  Now my table and floor are covered with them because they bounce like crazy!  I'll have to get my lint roller out to clean up I guess.

The tutorial is at: http://pattiewack.com/2010/05/jack-o-lantern-lights/

24  Pumpkin Topiary Trees in Halloween Decor and Parties by pattiewack on: October 05, 2006 11:59:22 AM
http://www.pattiewack.com/projects/PunkinCandlstck.jpg. I made these pumpkin topiary trees last year, and plan to make them again this weekend, but they seem boring to me now.  Any ideas on how to make them more jazzy?

Hey Tulsa area crafters, don't forget that we have a meet-up today at 2:00 at the Doubleshots Coffee Shop on Boston & 17th!

Be sure to bring craft magazines to swap, your laptops, and latest craft projects to share.  We also need shirt design ideas for our group.

26  Tulsa Crafters Meet-Up in Oklahoma by pattiewack on: August 09, 2006 09:05:30 PM
It's time for another Tulsa Crafters Meet-Up!  The last one was so fun that we decided to get together again. Same time, same place, different date. Meet us at Doubleshots on 17th & Boston at 2:00 on Saturday, August the 19th. Be sure and bring some of your craft projects to share. We are going to have a craft mag swap, too. So, go through your stash of old magazines to see if there are any that you are willing to part with, and you can trade them for mags that someone else brings. We just want to feed your craft addiction, that's all! If you want to post the flier at your fave craft store,  download the PDF file at the What's New Page on www.pattiewack.com. I can't wait to see what Christine and Jenny share this time. I'll bring my camera, so bring your smile!

Here's the flier:

27  Re: Any Tulsans here?? in Oklahoma by pattiewack on: July 23, 2006 09:00:36 PM

The Tulsa Crafters Meet-Up was FUN!
There were yummmmy soy candles, cheeky mirror star magnets, darling button embroidered cards, an appliqued purse, stenciled soulful tees, paper teacups, paper dolls, a masked scrapbook, and a bodacious album filled with outrageous mosaics and amazing miniature models of interior designs. And that's only the stuff I can remember. Whew!

Here's a pic of us doing a little show-n-tell in between giggles and java. The temp outside was blazin', but we were cool chicks inside with iced coffee and great projects and ideas to swap. We want to do it again! So, if you are in the Tulsa area you might wanna think about meeting us next time. I'll be sure to post the time, date and place in the next PattieWack Newsletter.

Kudos to Jenny (on the left) and Christine (in the center) for their cool crafts and inspiration. I think that now I am going to have to try my hand at making soy candles, and maybe even try cutting a stencil from a photo for an extremely rad tee-shirt. See ya next time!

Hey Tulsa peeps!
We've got a date, a time, and a place for a crafter's meet-up.
There's a flier, and here's the info:

Saturday, July the 15th
Double Shots Coffee Shop
17th & Boston
2:00 p.m.

I tacked a flier at the Cherry Street Panera Bread, The Bead Shop, Living Arts Studio and Double Shots.  So, if you can help by printing out the flier and posting it where you hang, it would be great.

To see the flier and download it to print, go to:
http://pattiewack.com/new.htm

Let's spread the word, and meet fellow craftaholics who want to swap ideas and sip coffee.
If you bring some of your craft projects, we can see what everyone likes to do...

30  Re: Paper High-Heeled Shoes & Boots & Purse in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by pattiewack on: March 28, 2006 06:17:04 PM
Oh my gosh!
What a great idea....blue suede shoes!

I have a pattern for paper shoes, that are Mary Janes....those would make some cute blue suede shoes, huh?

You know, I've also got baby shoes in a pattern.  But what I really need to come up with, is Ked's type high-tops.  Whaddayathink?

Here's a pic of boots I made:
