222  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: Have you ever had those stupid crafty moments? -_- on: June 24, 2005 12:25:45 PM
well just two nights ago i did something stupid. i wanted to make some earrrings but my pliers were somewhere in my garage and i was too lazy to get them. so i decided to use my nails instead. well it was working for awhile until i tried to bend open an eyepin and the end of the pin went underneath my nail and punctured the skin. i had to pull it out...the next day that particular finger throbbed whenever i touched it. and my nails were pretty messed up and layers were peeling off.  Sad
223  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: Crafty But Stupid: YOUR CRAFT RELATED INJURIES HERE! on: June 24, 2005 12:16:53 PM
well this happened to my friend...we were going to do some stenciling and she went to get the very rusty exacto knife from the bathroom cabinet (dont ask me why it was there). well she got it out and dropped it. straight through her foot and into the floor. she's very queezy so she threw up when she saw her foot nailed to the floor. she wouldnt let me pull it out so she waited, nailed to the floor, while i called 911. she ended up getting a tetnus shot.

228  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re:help! rescue me from no stencils land on: April 05, 2004 12:26:43 AM
well basically you could just make your own out of any image if you have microsoft word. you just open the image in word and right click it. click the option that says format picture then click on the tab that says picture. look for a heading that says image control. under it there should be a color option. it should be set already on automatic so just click it and set it as black and white. voila! automatic stencil! if you need to you can play around with the brightness and contrast options. hope i helped a little.
