1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: cloth diapers on: April 07, 2011 07:42:55 AM
Ooh nice. Very professional looking.  Since you are using velcro, maybe some laundry tabs would help. The diapers don't seem to get very clean when you have to close them up when washing.

I actually decided I'm going to use snaps. I bought a ton of them, so I might as well use them! I just wanted to try every way before I decided.

i got this pattern from http://www.darlingdiapers.com/

I made two sizes tonight. one newborn, which I haven't added velcro to.. I used PUL fabric on it, which is waterproof. the second is a size small that I just used recycled flannel I got from the thrift store. I made them all in one "AIO" so the soakers are sewn inside. I recommend this pattern to anyone who's into cloth diapers and wants to sew them!

I wanted to make something SUPER simple for the fact I only had two fabrics. I was lucky I had some brown & green for binding! I used this "Nine patch" pattern, stitched-in-the-ditch around the middle piece and did a diagonal across the 9in blocks. Then I just did a zig-zag to hold the binding down. I love love love this. Took me about 2 hours total.

heres the pattern: http://www.quiltmaker.com/patterns/details.html?idx=184

9  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / sewing/dining room on: March 21, 2011 01:46:42 PM
so this room is actually our dining room but since i'm having a baby, i can't have my separate room anymore! we still have to find chairs for the table, but we can scrounge enough from the rest of the house to sit a lot of people, plus the window bench seat Smiley

I just added the privacy contact paper to the window so i can get more light without having ugly blinds that people can see through! [we're on the bottom floor of a double]

follow my blog! i'm doing a craft challenge.... http://sewoeno.blogspot.com/
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: new summer clothes & swimsuit on: June 13, 2009 08:34:34 AM
how is the last one constructed? it looks like just a rectangle of jersey or something else stretchy on the bottom, and then two rectangles on top at angles, with short side seams. am i close? that sort of top would be super flattering on me and i'd love to make one like it!

no offense but i'm not going to just tell you. might as well try to figure it out. i've sold two of that style shirt.
