4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / pinup pendants! (naughtly language warning) on: November 14, 2007 04:08:17 PM
I had some cute pinup images lying around from a tear-off calender i had, and i thought to my little self, "man I want to have these everywhere".

so now I can wear bits of them everywhere!

I cut and glued the images on to little metal disks that are supposed to be for scrapbooking (I had to peel the sticky pads off the back haha), added some words and coated the whole lot in a few coats of clear nail varnish, cos thats all I had lying around.

I hope you like them  Cheesy

6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / doomcandy's ongoing gallery on: January 29, 2007 01:22:41 AM
hey, i'm starting an alphabet atc project so i thought i'd set myself up a gallery for it and my other atc works! i hope everyone enjoys looking in here and feel free to comment of course Cheesy

these are my first alphabet ones (i'm not working in any particular order)

A is for Ahoy, my pretty pin up card Cheesy
'C' is for convoy.

'F' is for flora and fauna.

'T' is for time flying.

If anyone would like to make me a letter or more of the alphabet for my collection i'd be happy to swap my available for trade atc's for it!

7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / self portraits on: December 17, 2006 01:51:50 AM
i had these self portrait photos lying round from my high school photography class a few years ago, and thought i would share them because they're some of my favorites.

this one was actually taken by a friend at my request after having issues getting the tripod at the right height. thats me in the picturewith my friend resting her arms on my shoulders.

and the digitally altered version

i love this photo above all others, its my baby. it's me with some of my most special possesions, that weird thing i'm hugging is a giant stuffed turtle my nana made me (its about 16 years old now) and i'm wearing my dr martins (i have 3 pairs). anywho i think its great, so i printed it in negative and stuck the 2 together for one of my final assignment pics.

this is a self portrait in really really high contrast haha. i did it as an illustration for a friends article on being comfortable with your sexuality etc etc.

sorry for the rambling explanations, i hope you like the pictures. comments welcome as always Smiley
8  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / wine charms for my aunties on: November 01, 2006 12:33:03 PM
when one of my aunties was in fits over the cuteness of miniature food, i decided to craft wine charm sets for my aunties for christmas. i thought cakes and tarts would suit the season ( and the women) better than any healthy mini foods Tongue

the offcial set (there are 3 sets the same as this)

some extras, the one that looks like a white square is actually a custard slice, but i couldn't get a decent side shot due to dimunitive size and the lighting in my house that is either eye-blindingly bright sunlight or dark lol.

the action shots.

let me know what you think, i'll try and get clearer pics soon Smiley

9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / collaged swap journal on: October 29, 2006 06:05:17 PM
i recently completed my first swap and signed up for my second *yay*, so i decided i needed a spiffy swap journal. so i got a nice big ringbound book and collaged the covers with magazine pictures and stickers.

the colourful front.

the rock themed back with pics of Motley Crue, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin.

i covered the collaged covers with duraseal to protect the pictures.i hope you think its as cool as i do.
10  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / olde beetle ATCs on: October 18, 2006 02:00:58 AM
i love drawing beetles, they're just so varied and interesting in form. so yesterday i thought, "why don't i make some ATCs that look like drawings from an old victorian style book of biological drawings?"
 so i did.
i hope you like my many legged friends.

i drew the beetles with a fine line waterproof ink pen, then crumpled the paper and stained it with coffee for an aged look.
