4  pinup pendants! (naughtly language warning) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by doomcandy on: November 14, 2007 04:08:17 PM
I had some cute pinup images lying around from a tear-off calender i had, and i thought to my little self, "man I want to have these everywhere".

so now I can wear bits of them everywhere!

I cut and glued the images on to little metal disks that are supposed to be for scrapbooking (I had to peel the sticky pads off the back haha), added some words and coated the whole lot in a few coats of clear nail varnish, cos thats all I had lying around.

I hope you like them  Cheesy

those bugs (for as creepy as they are) are amazingly drawn! What kind of paper are they on, or what technique did you do to that paper to give it the creases?

Hi selise, I just drew the bugs onto plain white paper like you put in your printer, then scrunched it up and flattened it out again until i was happy with its wrinklyness. then i stuck it in a bowl of cold coffee to make it go brown.

here's some corset ones i posted a while ago, but i can't remember where...

this one has a witty title to do with not letting his heart be stolen but i don't have it in front of me right now.

9  doomcandy's ongoing gallery in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by doomcandy on: January 29, 2007 01:22:41 AM
hey, i'm starting an alphabet atc project so i thought i'd set myself up a gallery for it and my other atc works! i hope everyone enjoys looking in here and feel free to comment of course Cheesy

these are my first alphabet ones (i'm not working in any particular order)

A is for Ahoy, my pretty pin up card Cheesy
'C' is for convoy.

'F' is for flora and fauna.

'T' is for time flying.

If anyone would like to make me a letter or more of the alphabet for my collection i'd be happy to swap my available for trade atc's for it!

10  self portraits in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by doomcandy on: December 17, 2006 01:51:50 AM
i had these self portrait photos lying round from my high school photography class a few years ago, and thought i would share them because they're some of my favorites.

this one was actually taken by a friend at my request after having issues getting the tripod at the right height. thats me in the picturewith my friend resting her arms on my shoulders.

and the digitally altered version

i love this photo above all others, its my baby. it's me with some of my most special possesions, that weird thing i'm hugging is a giant stuffed turtle my nana made me (its about 16 years old now) and i'm wearing my dr martins (i have 3 pairs). anywho i think its great, so i printed it in negative and stuck the 2 together for one of my final assignment pics.

this is a self portrait in really really high contrast haha. i did it as an illustration for a friends article on being comfortable with your sexuality etc etc.

sorry for the rambling explanations, i hope you like the pictures. comments welcome as always Smiley
