1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Courthouse Wedding Dress on: March 09, 2012 09:40:23 AM
I love it, your dress is gorgeous!  I am currently trying to figure out how I want to sew mine. Thank you for the inspiration!
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: the Saga of Making my Dress (novel length post & img OBESE) on: March 09, 2012 09:19:20 AM
I love that you posted your experience with making a wedding dress. I am getting married in May of next year and I didn't expect everything to be so expensive. I wanted to be able to cut corners on cost as well because I would rather have more money for the big things. I went and tried on dresses but everything costs so much it's crazy. Even a little tea length dress is $400! I decided that I myself could probably get a vintage tea length dress and make it for half the cost or less. Plus, at least then I know I will be a lot happier with it because it will be exactly what I wanted.

I was with you in the beginning too, I wanted a gorgeous long lace dress as well - but they are super expensive in the store to buy. I also can't seem to find any lace that I like, and bridal lace is $30 and up for a yard at a shop that is 45 mins. to 2 hours away depending on which one I need to go to.

Thanks for the inspiration!

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / altering the crotch on a pants pattern on: November 13, 2009 07:38:35 AM
I'm still a beginner on sewing, and a problem that I have had on pants is getting the crotch to come out right. I'm a petite person that is still curvy because I have the hourglass hips. So when I get the pants sewn - the crotch is too low making the pants look huge and baggy on me. I know there is a line on the pattern piece to shorten it to match your height, are you supossed to do the same on the crotch of the pants as well? I feel like I am missing something.  Huh

Thank you!
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Snake for my sad nine year old sister on: August 24, 2009 07:55:37 PM
That snake is great! That was a great idea for your sister too!  I love the bead eyes! I might have to make myself one too, I want a pet snake as well - but my boyfriend doesn't really like the idea of it. I might be getting a puppy with him someday - so at least I get something out of it. :p

7  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Mario Plushie on: August 24, 2009 07:39:54 PM
Your Mario plush is great! It looks just as good as the merchandise plushes that you see on the internet! Great job, I haven't made one of your patterns yet - but I really want to! I have just been having a hard time figuring out which one to pick first!

If you keep making more, it would be neat seeing you take a stab at Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, or Meowth from PokeMon. ^^

Thank you so much!
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Knit.101-The self help guide.... - crocheted bikini pattern error on: August 11, 2009 06:19:54 PM
I just started working on this pattern today and I swear that there are errors in the pattern. Is there any way that I can find corrections?

Row 7 ends at 30 stitches and then Row 8 is supposed to end in 16 stitches. That is going to make an odd looking top.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Exterminate! - Dalek Washcloth on: August 09, 2009 09:44:19 AM
I knitted this washcloth with Lily Sugar n Cream cotton - it's multi-colored. It was my second time ever making a washcloth with a picture knitted into it. It was my first time ever to knit baubles. Unfortunately I lost the link to the pattern - but I am sure you can find it if you google search it. If I find it again - I will be sure to post it. Thank you for looking!
