1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: My first stencil!! (P.O.T.C. 2) on: July 03, 2006 09:38:45 PM
Wow I'm impressed! That is very intricate! I made pirate stencils as well, but I only used one as a stencil. The other (of Jack Sparrow) was just too much for me to handle stencil-wise so I just printed it out on transfer paper and Ironed it on. haha. kudos

3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: my first stencil - roy lichtenstein on: July 03, 2006 11:26:24 AM
Kermitstar - I used a gel bleach pen. I'm thinking of using the no drip bleach in a spray bottle for any others that I try. (I saw that on another board)

Ironic Insanity - Thank you! I screwed up on one of the eyes. I'm not sure if I really like the whole stencilling thing. Its a little tedious for me. I tend to be really picky and not like to let stuff just happen. But it was fun for an afternoon of craftiness.
4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / my first stencil - roy lichtenstein on: July 02, 2006 09:58:55 PM
I decided to try my first stencil. I used my favorite Roy Lichtenstein painting "girl with hair ribbon" for the stencil and bleach to put it on the shirt. It was a fairly good first time project. I'm pleased...

It looks better than this photo, not uneven.
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: finished baby blanket and booties on: May 29, 2006 03:49:09 AM
Thanks! Everything took about 2 weeks. I didn't work on them everyday. Each square took about 45 minutes or so.
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / finished baby blanket and booties on: May 28, 2006 08:59:16 PM
I made these from the book- blankets, hats and booties to knit and crochet. I absolutely love this blanket. It was very hard to give it away. The mother-to-be really loved it though, so that helped.

7  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Finished Johnny Depp Poster Boy Bag on: May 27, 2006 12:44:01 PM
Thank you all! I just recently photoshopped a different pic of Johnny that I am trying to convince myself to turn into another bag.

Woot thanks for the link! I've put my Inter-library loan request in for some of these books, but now its up to the library gods on whether or not I actually get them.

Great job!!! I love the nightmare before christmas. I'm on a marble magnet kick right now. You've inspired me to pull out the jewelry making supplies as well.
