You are my hero!  These are the absolute best slippers ever.

Absolutely darling!  Like many others I bow to your seamstress skills, and would like to know if you are self taught, had a mentor or took courses.
3  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: 100 Little Yellow Duckies on: July 19, 2007 10:15:32 PM
I don't know what you could do with them--although I like the painting idea.  But am exceptionally concerned that they would just toss them out like that especially if this an annual event.  We have a similar annual thing here (only send them down the river), but I'm pretty sure they reuse them each year and only replace the ones that go AWOL.

This is officially the absolute most awesome thing I have ever seen.  I'm so doing this after I conquer half my pile of half-finished crafty-ness.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Twirly good fun! And a pillowcase dress. on: July 19, 2007 10:36:33 AM
They're adorable--especially the first set--and so is the wee one.  A couple of my nearest and dearest are Roller Queens too, my little chick wants skirts like theirs--green and black plaid mini kilts.

I love it!  Your aunt & uncle have wonderful senses of humor, please post the orange one if she makes one.  Best wishes for renewed health.

The dress is stunning--and will always be with that pattern, it perfect....but the bloomers are over the top cute!
8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Re: HELP! with WIP on: July 17, 2007 11:10:50 PM
Firstly, it's a very lovely painting--exceptionally peaceful.  But I do see what you and others have noticed about something missing.  How about a simple sailboat (catamaran?  I'm pretty sure that's not how you spell it but definately how it sounds) on the horizon in the gap between those two background trees...not a living creature but I like the idea of calm, peaceful, lazy days on the ocean it represents.  Just my (very humble) two cents.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Running the numbers (skirts) -- Twin Twirls for Best Friends! IMAGE HEAVY on: July 17, 2007 09:00:31 AM
I don't think anything could be cuter than this!  Two happy girls in matching twirlie skirts...priceless.

Didn't you know there's an unwritten childhood rule that states that "if it ain't got twirl, I'm not wearing it mom."  I love the fabric--you tamed it very nicely into a very lovely dress.
