1  Re: Emotional Photo Scavenger Hunt Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by SunshynDzyne on: August 10, 2006 11:31:52 AM
I recv'd my loverly package from craftygem last week but I've been on vacation and couldn't get the pics up in time. I'm so sorry for slacking craftygem! I love everything though..the frame she did is completely adorable and the photos are beautiful...

the frame...sooo cute! and pic for 'happiness'

Clockwise from top left....Contentment, anger(wate falls rushing in),boredom, longing

Love, excitement (rock climbing!), lonliness, jealousy (pic of the moon but the wires were jealous and wanted to be seen more in the picture LoL) , sadness

I love them all but I think my favorites are happiness, contentment and love. That photos of (your daughter?) and the dog is just precious. I love it. Thanks so much craftygem!!

Sorry about the glare on the photos. If you have better ones craftygem, please post 'em up. Smiley

6  Re: come one! come all! post pics of your tattoos! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by SunshynDzyne on: June 18, 2006 10:45:02 AM
So the only tattoo I have is a very small and not the greatest, since I got it about 7 years ago and I was stupid and didn't look for a good artist before doing it..ugh. So anyway...I had to at least show off the boy's new tattoo he got a couple months ago..

This one is the bad rat..he's going to get a good rat on the other arm with a halo and maybe wings, but it's going to be a rockin' good rat so instead of the harp it's going to have a badass guitar. Should be cool once the tattoo artist gets it all drawn up for him. I think he did a great job drawing up what the boy was wanting for this one.

Also, the boy's brother just got a nice dimebag tribute tattoo...

pardon the terrible glare...they were both new when I took the pics and they still had some 'gunk' on their arms makin' it shiney.

7  Flat messenger/tote bag for my outing this weekend! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by SunshynDzyne on: June 15, 2006 09:01:51 AM
I'm going to the Highland Games in Chicago on Saturday...YAY!!!  I needed a simple bag to toss the boy's and my stuff in while we gawk roam around all day and I wanted something with a strap across my chest so I don't have to worry about it much. I had this fabric w/ kind of celtic-ish knots on it that I've been dying to use and some brown corduroy and they just worked too well together not to use now...so I came up with this....

The bag is lying funny so it looks like the knot print is not straight, but it is...it is off center though. Originally everything was supposed to run horizontally, not vertically, but I sewed the wrong edges and didn't feel the need to go back and change it.

This is the top of the strap, where it sits on my shoulder

And to show proportions and size and such..

The part on the shoulder was intended to cover up an area where the stitching came open a bit due to the corduroy unraveling or whatnot...I decided I'd wrap some of the knot print fabric around that area and stitch around all the edges to secure it. Then I realized that it would be great because now I have some padding right on my shoulder where the bag will be putting pressure all day. Yay for mistakes! LoL

Comments are always welcome and appreciated!  Grin

8  Re: Polka dot and stripes bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by SunshynDzyne on: June 01, 2006 08:57:59 PM
you got the fabrics a $1/yard!!! woa i bought the same striped one for regular price. booo. nice bag!!!!!1

I'm a determined bargain shopper!  Wink  Actually, I just got lucky..I couldn't believe it when I saw it there.

I made these today to go w/ my bag, since I had no idea what to do with the rest of the fabric left over and nothing I had even remotely matched at all. I like to match, but this may be over doing it. LoL Oh well, it's cute for the time being until it starts making me sick. haha

front of the wallet

back of the wallet..to keep change and whatever else

inside unfolded

change purse/makeup bag (I carry a lot of crap w/ me)

checkbook cover (it's got some serious wonky spots but it works)

and all of it together in all it's glorious/annoying matchy matchy-ness. LoL I still can't decide how I feel about it...I like it but I normally wouldn't so I'm a bit conflicted.

9  Polka dot and stripes bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by SunshynDzyne on: May 31, 2006 07:41:49 PM
I made this today to try out some pellon interfacing I bought a while back. I wanted to see how it would be to work with and what the difference in stiffness would look like for the bag. I like the stiffness of it, but I'm not a fan of working with the pellon...pain in the rear actually. Maybe it's just me. LoL

Front of the bag...don't mind the terribly off center pocket. I was too preoccupied with making sure it was straight with the stripes and forgot to center the friggin thing. oops

the lining

It's far from perfect but I still like it and it'll be my new summer purse..until I'm inspired to make another one, of course.

Comments are always welcome and appreciated! Smiley

10  Re: WIST Swap of May Ongoing Gallery in The Swap Gallery by SunshynDzyne on: May 18, 2006 10:51:28 AM
I received my package from knit_core today w/ not 1, but 2 coffee mug cozies w/ coffee mugs!!! They are so beautiful, and two of my favorite colors..I absolutely adore them! PLUS....she sent me an awesome measuring tape bracelet! I've been wanting one for ages.

Lookie!!..

The bracelet fits perfectly too. And the cozies fit my other coffee mugs so I can use them all the time. Yay! Good thing I was home alone when I opened everything up because I squeeled like a kid and jumped up and down going "Oh my God! Oh my God!" several times before I could control my outbursts. LoL

Knit_core, you are so awesome hun...I feel SO spoiled! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!  Grin Grin
