1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / First socks ever on: March 20, 2007 08:34:58 AM
I'm pretty proud of myself--I made a pair of socks!  Two socks!  It took about a week from when I cast on the first one until when I grafted the toe of the second.
I used Plymouth sockotta and instructions from Sensational Knitted Socks by Charlene Schurch.

Thanks everyone!  They weren't hard to do, I just followed the instructions.  Only today I was gonna wear them and the yarn at the cast-on edge broke!  And with it my heart.  But I'm already considering the next socks I'll make.  I AM hooked now.
2  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / FO: Anarchy Irony on: March 14, 2006 09:30:14 PM

I used Caron Simply Soft in pink to further the irony, and gave it to my sister who thought a pink crocheted hat with the anarchy symbol would be the greatest thing ever.  That's her in the picture.
I'm a loose hooker and had to use a G hook rather than the called-for J.  Also I slipstitched the anarchy sign onto it instead of crocheting the pieces and sewing them on (which I tried, with unsatisfactory results).

Oh yeah, this is my first craftster post ever.  Yo.
