1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Who has the drape drape dress book by Hisako Sato? on: March 27, 2010 08:30:04 AM
Who has the drape drape dress book by Hisako Sato?

I just received my book in the mail yesterday and I absolutley love it! It's all in Japanese but everything is fairly easy to understand except I would really really like to make no.3 Gather Drape Dress and I am unsure if it is made from a knit or woven, does anyone have the book that could let me know?

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Stripes and Ruffles Romper! [IMG heavy!] on: July 20, 2009 11:24:14 AM
K lots of photos.... but I just couldn't pick my favourites!
This is a romper I made from pin-striped fabric, accented with ruffles and bows down the front! This shoot was for a publicity stunt for a market I'm doing next weekend. I didn't make the other outfits - they're from other designers who are doing the market.

I'm in love with making these triangle bras now! They have adjustable straps, they're fully lined and they have closures in either the front or back.

Knit romper with X elastic detailing

Bustier with vintage jewellery embellishments with a black high waisted bubble skirt.

Cotton voile tank, with a grey cotton jacket.

7  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Amazing place to get cheap woven labels. on: April 04, 2009 05:57:48 PM
I just found this etsy store and ordered some labels - $54.40 for 300 woven labels! They have amazing deals and look like they'll be REALLY good.

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / New Spring Stuff! on: March 31, 2009 10:13:01 AM
Love this top, it's made with 100% cotton...lined with bright purple! It hits about hip level. The bubble hem is top stitched on the outside of the garment, it looks really cool.. I did a close up photo.. There's also some studs on it.

Same pattern, different fabric, same pleating technique, also has studs!

These two dresses turned out really well...they're super flattering on.

I don't love these ones as much as I thought I would but I do really love the fabric ! They're made from African cotton.

This dress is made from organic bamboo/cotton jersey and I used silk scraps that the fabric store gave me to do the appliques on the front.

Another romper! This one has lace elastic on the bottom on the shorts.

(I know my pictures with the white background need to be edited more but I couldnt be bothered right now! haha)
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Jeans for LG Denim DIY Contest on: February 23, 2009 08:16:55 PM
Hey! I entered the Canada LG Denim DIY contest. After signing up and much thought I almost decided to not do the competition because I personally don't like crazy jeans and the jeans are supposed to be original and funky, in fact - i almost never WEAR jeans. But friday night after laying in bed and thinking and coming up with an idea I just decided to go for it ! Went to get denim and supplies, drafted my pattern and was done by the end of the weekend! These pictures were taken kind of quick and I did cut off all the loose threads after so ignore any of those that you see !

Those dark spots on the right side are just water drops - my hair was wet!

The pockets are trimmed with zipper teeth.

The chain links on the pocket are one of my favourite finds ever.

The slit at the ankle is actually even - one side is just sticking up here!

Now I'm just hoping the fit is right ! I wont get to see them on a model until the runway show next tuesday though so AHH. I'm nervous.
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Cardis, Playsuits, Shorts and Dresses! on: January 19, 2009 08:05:57 PM

Playsuits:
My Favourite..

This one looks a lot better ! The white ruffle trim looks kind of weird!

I loveee this one too!

Dresses:

Sailor Shorts!

Cardigans!

I also made one of these pink and white ones for myself! I love it and have gotten so many compliments.
