oh my,how embarassed am I? I really thought I posted the pics of my remaining four cards. I've used one already, and I just love them! Thanks so much for watching my butt and posting the pics for me, Sonja. My apologies....what a slacker I was!!!
what beautiful peaches! I can tomatos and salsa and peach preserves. It has been years since I canned peaches, and would love to again, but the crop here in Ct isn't always that great. Do you use a particular recipe? would you consider sharing? I would like to plan for next years crops. Thanks so much for posting your wonderful work!
Just an FYI...I make my own vanilla also, have for years. The type of vanilla bean makes a big difference. Madascar vanilla beans are the highest you can buy, and make fantastic vanilla. It takes 3 months to fully develop, so be patient. You can, at any time replenish the vodka or brandy/vodka mixture in your bottle with the beans and use it right away. You should also store your vanilla in a dark bottle, as light does affect it's longevity. You can purchase brown bottles on line at home brewing shops. Try it, really...you'll never buy vanilla again.
Oh...almost forgot...don't remove the seeds, they lend a very distinct taste and look to your recipes. A perk that you don't get from your store bought vanilla.
I finally shipped my package today!!! Let me tell you, I had that darn thing packaged 3 different times and decided to change things...now today I re-packed to insulate some breakables and printed my label. Re-weighed....wouldn't you know it...much heavier!! Who knew bubble packing would change the weight so much. Off to print another label, void the first one, blah blah blah...finally it is in the mail!!!!!
