1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crochet Letters on: August 25, 2011 11:59:30 AM
Hey everyone!  Grin

I am making these stockings here: http://www.caron.com/projects/shadows/sss_girl_stocking.html for christmas this year for my fiance and I. I want to crochet our names in flat letters that I can sew onto the stockings. Does anyone know of any websites that I can find letters? They will obviously need to be very small. No more than 3" tall or wide. Both of our names are only 5 letters long each.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!!

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / straight to circular - converting a lace stitch on: June 16, 2007 05:25:50 PM
hey all!

I am in the process of designing my first tank! I have found a perfect lace pattern I want to use for the bottom part of the tank, but really want to knit it on circs because I dont want to mess with seams! especially with lace. so all the right-side rows differ but all wrong-side rows say to purl everything. so since I want to do this on circs I would knit this, yes? because you are supposed to do the opposite I believe. and then when I want to do stock stitch on the upper part of the tank, I will knit every row or purl every row? thanks guys just needed some further clarification!
