1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Upcycled simple spoon bracelet on: November 11, 2011 01:30:56 PM
I had some old sterling iced tea spoons lying around for awhile so I decided to make them into bracelets. I added some beads from an old vintage necklace that had broken and a pewter bit from an old earring. I think it looks like a spoonful of creamy caviar  Wink

2  COOKING / Dessert / Chocolate won tons on: September 13, 2008 08:00:51 PM
I don't think I've ever posted in food board before Tongue, but here's a great little dessert nosh.
Buy regular wonton wrappers and put in a few chocolate chips. Fold as a normal wonton, then deep fry as normal...Voila-tasty little easy peasy sweet hors d'oeuvres!!
3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Hooray for Hearts!! on: February 14, 2008 08:32:43 AM

4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Kiss of Spring on: January 20, 2008 06:45:27 PM
I wasn't going to post after I saw all of the really amazing entries this challenge-but what the heck Smiley
I am very tired of winter, so I looked through my vintage  sheet music and found this piece titled Kiss of Spring. I covered an old wine bottle ( which of course I had to empty Smiley ) with the music and cut out the cover which I attached to thin cardboard. I then attached the cover girls to the bottle and voila-a vase ready to hold the first flowers of spring.
It really needs several more coats of decoupage medium, but that will have to wait Tongue

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / Itching to garden-favorite seed catalogs? on: December 30, 2007 04:54:09 PM
Now that the holiday season is out of the way-nearly-is anyone else getting antsy for spring?? I am trying to start an even higher percentage of my garden from seed this year. It saves money, environment (not so many plastic containers ansd trucks dragging plants all around the country) and it really is such a cool feeling to see something you planted from a tiny seed become a flower or food Smiley I also like the varieties you can start.
So-are there any fave catalogs you want to talk about? I use Nichols and Johnny's along with the regulars like Burpees.
I'll be setting up lights in the basement and then hopefully transferring them to cold frames and a straw bale /glasshouse.
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / BuyChristmas Ornaments Now-Have Cool Garden Ornaments later!!!! on: December 23, 2007 01:13:48 AM
Just a hint-This time of year-and the days after Christmas- are a good time to find interesting garden stuff on sale . The big Christmas ball ornaments make excellent "gazing balls" for your garden- you can find glass and plastic on sale. Also, a lot of  ornaments, such as bells, "dangly things" Smiley, etc..., are great for garden wind chimes and mobiles.

RUBBER STAMP MANIA
Details of swap:We have been discussing handmade rubber stamps  here
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=202645.0 So we're gonna do it!!

This is what we will swap and how-we get 2 ,count'em, 2 options:
Each swapper will carve 3 stamps from either rubber stamp material (you can get it at art supply stores) or a good quality rubber eraser. You can choose to swap A: all 3 with one partner or
B:one each with 3 partners.
The organizer reserves the right to revert this to option A:3 stamps to one swap partner if we don't get enough people who choose option B ...or if her brains get all confoozled.
You have the option of adding impression stamps or cork stamps if you and your partner so desire.  I would suggest sending stamps unmounted to cut down on shipping.
We are having a long sign up and crafting time because of the holidays and general busy-ness of the end of the year Grin
This swap is for beginners and experienced stampers

10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Cool tuna tin candle from WyoKrista on: November 26, 2007 01:05:41 PM
I wanted to post this candle that WyoKrista sent me because it is so cool and would be a great idea for a recycled holiday present.
She took a rusted tuna can and put glitter on it then attached a shell, a drawer knob, buttons and twine and filled it with candle wax. I love it!!
