1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / What do you use to fill a pincushion? on: May 23, 2006 10:22:57 AM
I've heard that people use everything from foam, to rice, to polyester stuffing. What medium do you use or do you think works the best?
2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Any massage therapist crafters out there? on: May 16, 2006 02:04:44 PM
I've wondered if anyone has made their own bag to carry their massage supplies or even attempted to sew their own bolster covers? Anyone made any massage related crafts?

4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / the da vinci code swap on: May 08, 2006 09:14:52 PM
Now on paperback and a movie on the way, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a Da Vinci Code swap. Crafts could deal with the book, movie, and Da Vinci in general. I think some interesting creations could come out of such a swap.
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / gothic images/themes? on: May 05, 2006 05:16:13 PM
What do you consider to be gothic? There are many different styles. What is your favorite gothic image or symbol? (I'm asking because I've swapped with many people who say they like a gothic style. I know what I consider to be gothic, I'd like to know what other people caterogize as gothic)
6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / Beautiful Easter basket on: April 27, 2006 05:14:38 PM
My friend composed this gorgeous Easter basket for me. She didn't make the basket, but she did all the trimmings and filled it with goodies (including some knitting needles). I also love the cute crocheted flower pin she put on it. I just thought I should share this wonderful gift with craftster. Thanks raindrops!
7  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / pig cell phone cozy on: April 27, 2006 05:11:17 PM
This was my first non scarf knitting project. I made it for a friend of mine as an Easter gift and it was surprisingly easy to do. I think it's cute.
8  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / om yoga mat bag question on: April 23, 2006 04:45:03 PM
For anyone who has made this... Will I still have 80 stitches when I finish each row?
9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / what surfaces can you use tempera paint on? on: April 10, 2006 06:56:18 PM
What surfaces can you use tempera paint on? I tried painting a wooden frame once and the paint soaked in a little, but wouldn't dry. Can you use it on wood, pottery, glass, etc. ? Should I just stick to paper. It is called poster paint after all. I'm asking because I have several bottles of the stuff and would like to utilize it in crafting, but I want it to work.
Thanks  Grin
10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / study break craft ideas? on: April 09, 2006 07:01:23 PM
It's getting towards the end of the semester for me. Sometimes I need a study break and I want to be crafty, but what to work on? I don't want anything too involved, complicated, or addictive because then study time would turn into craft time. Anyone have some small project ideas or projects that can be broken into bite size study break pieces?
