I adore these! I think my favorite is chocolate and bacon too.

I attempted the Groovy Sweater and although I love the design, I am very disappointed with it. I found the pattern difficult to decipher, and there are more errors in it than are published in the errata. I shouldn't have used the yarn I did (Lion Brand Thick & Quick)...

I feel like ranting about it I'm so frustrated, but I won't. I waited until I got brave enough to knit the thing - I have never, done twists, cables, bobbles until now, and now that it's laying there waiting to get frogged makes me weep...

Those are great! I knit two dusters, and they didn't come out nearly as nice as yours did. I'm horrible at placing buttons....Love the colours you chose (buttons vs. yarn colour).

Hi Everyone -
I stupidly volunteered to make a purse for a local fundraiser auction, and I've never been confident enough to ever sell anything I make (I'm strictly gifts - no selly selly).

Anyhow, the purse is made, and I feel like it needs embellishment. I've taken some cruddy photos which are hard to see the colour from, but I'm looking for your help. Does any option look alright, or should I just knit something else....?

Here is the almost finished bag, ready for shaping etc (believe it or not it's a dark heathered green):


Should it have just the simple ribbon flower with a nice antique silver button for the closure like this (believe it or not all that ribbon is also a dark green):


Or should it be a bit more fun with a little bit of felt dots?


Can you help a sister out?

The flower seemed to be the higher vote, so I went that way. I added a lining from a Sally Anne shirt, and tossed on a button from an old leather jacket. Thanks so much to all who gave their opinion.

I haven't gotten any feed back yet (I know it hasn't been up for long)....so I think it might just not be worth putting in the auction. Hmmmmm.....
