It's easy to find, if you get off the train at Newtown Station, turn right, cross over the first street you come to (Wilson St) at the lights and then cross over King St at the same intersection - the Zanzibar should be practically in front of you! (ok it's slightly to the left), go in the door and then up the stairs and look around for the gothy/alternative people...

Wednesdays at the Zanzibar is $5 (gourmet) pizzas and half-price cocktails!!!

Any takers???                 Any takers???               Come on!I know of the SSK group (QueerKnit) in Newtown (but most of the people are aged 40+) -does any other 19-35 yr old craftsters want to start a craft/knitting/quilting/whatever circle? It doesnt have to be 100% Queer, but i'd prefer to start one for 'family' cos it'd be fun to find out if there are other crafty GLTBers out there too!
We'd all get together, chat, craft, make, have fun....

I saw these gloves from the last issue of Knitty, and needed them so bad it hurt! You have no idea the trouble i went to to get nice colours of Noro (cant get Koigu where i live), it took about 6 weeks to find the right colours. And here they are. BTW the photos make my arms look chinkier than they really ae LOL!

This is Middy. In her doggie jumper (the first 'garment' i ever knitted). She's too cool to look interested. I thought i'd share the picture because she likes wants to be loved (even by strangers) hehehe

It was the most basic pattern, make a a piece that covered her back (and down to her arms), then another for her chest. Sew them together with holes for the legs, and pick up stitches on the neckline for ribbing. Next time i'll make the ribbing longer because its a bit off the shoulder.... The yarn was self striping glitter angora/mohair, that looks very 80's now i've washed it. Thanks!
