11  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / BFF socks by Cookie - or my Boi's Anniversary socks PIC HEAVY on: March 20, 2007 03:01:15 PM
It was my 1 year anniversary on Sunday, so i made my boi a pair of socks. Not just any socks. Cabled socks of Doom!  Grin. I used the BFF pattern http://www.knitanon.com/blog/bff.html from Cookie, and 2 skeins of cashmerino sock yarn from The Knittery (http://www.theknittery.com). The colour is Chocolate Royale - purple and chocolate yum!

I really love this pattern - easy and quick! I did do a slip-stitch heel instead of a normal one cos they wear better.... More info and better pics on the blog

Hi Guys,

Just letting fellow crafty Crafters know about the Alternative SnB thats on in Newtown once a fortnight....

The next one is at The Coopers Arms Hotel (Newtown, on King St up from the train station) on Wednesday 23 August. We'll be there from 7.45pm (look for the alternative/goth girls knitting  Wink ).

All crafts are welcome!

We normally meet at the Zanzibar, but thought we'd give Coopers a try for a change.

20  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / skull beanie with tassels! on: August 08, 2006 05:32:13 PM
I love this beanie to death!
I was inspired by the Ankh beanie in the Anti-Craft (http://www.theanticraft.com), and twigged my own fair-isle skull chart using hello-yarns We Call Them Pirates (http://www.helloyarn.com/freepatterns.htm). I love the tassels off the corners - they are so fun. Its like having pig-tails (i have short hair)

Apologies for the bad quality - camera is broken and had to use my mobile phone
