1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Flame eye makeup! on: December 20, 2007 10:08:13 AM
I did this for halloween last year.  I didn't have a costume so i thought I could at least do something interesting with my eye make up since i have a large canvas to work with!

I sort of outlined the whole thing with white eye liner, and then drew over it with a thin moist brush dipped in eyeshadow. I used red lip liner pencil, red, yellow, and orange MAC eye shadows and I think there's some shimmery gold in there but you can't really see it.
2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Making a SHadow Box as a Gift....But where to find trinkets??? PLease Help! on: September 24, 2007 08:23:32 AM
I am working on a shadow box for my boyfriend who was in the navy.  I'd love to find some little figurines of ships with sails, old compases, and things like that.  Nothing too hokey or toy like.  But I'm having a hard time finding them.  Any suggestions?  I'd greatly appreciate them.  thanks!

#1 reconstructed charm necklace

I had a cheap cameo necklace with a red beaded chain that broke a bunch of times, so i just added some extra non matching chain in the back for length, and put on a couple of little deal-ies I had lying around ....the cameo came with the necklace, the bullet is from a keychain i got an at army/navy store, the ring is old costume jewelery, and a red fender guitar pick.

#2 recon charm necklace 2

Same thing as above only this time i added a chain with guitar pic, and a gun from a keychain.   EASY!

#3 Flower Hair pin

I got a small bunch of artificial flowers at the art store, and ripped off the plastic "spines" on the back of them....this makes the flowers flatter and then they lay against your head better....they i glued like 3 together so they looked fuller...added a pyramid spike in the middle and hot glued it to a hair barrett from the craft store...i wear this almost every day and it's paid for itself in compliments!!!

#4 Super Cute Earings

The mod pair I made from charms i pulled off of a Ben Sherman Key lanyard that i got for FREE....just got osme earing hooks and bent them on!!!   And i made these guitar pic earings for all of my girlfriends this past Xmas!!!

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Kiss MY Ass Pants! (also posted in embroidery) on: September 27, 2005 11:41:38 AM
So i got this idea from an old issue of BUST magazine, and it was so simple i decided to do it....and in less than 2 hours i was finished!  I just eyeballed the BUST pattern and drew it on the pocket with pen and stitched over....you can still see the pen lines but it'll wash out im sure....

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Reconstructed Distillers Shirt (little changes can make ALLL the difference) on: September 27, 2005 10:53:22 AM
I bought a distillers shirt a while ago when i saw them play, but they only carried youth size Medium ...I'm a size 12 so that was rather snug on me.....So i chopped the neck in a V shape on both the back and front, and sewed some lace onto the neckline....i only had enuff lace for half of the V in the back, but it still looks kinda cool...i dig the jagged edges....and to finish it off i just sewed on a nautical star patch i had floating around in my craft stash....best of all it matches my tattoos!  It still fits a little snug but at least the child sized neck no long chokes me!

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / HELP!!! Awful Wood Panneling, cannot paint!!! on: May 08, 2005 03:55:54 PM
Ok, so here's the challenge.....I'm moving to a friends house for about 6 months until i can get my own apartment.  The rent is cheap, however, my room used to be a porch, so the walls are AWFUL 70's wood panneling.....I can't paint it, and i'm not staying there long enough to redo the walls entirely, but I am still very sensitive to my surroundings....jus t because it's only temporary I don't see a point in living in a room that looks like a wood pannel station wagon....any thoughts on temporary things i can do to spruce up these rediculously ugly walls???
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Smaller Tshirts made bigger! on: January 24, 2004 03:02:43 PM
So we've gone thru making a huge ishirt fitted but what about making smal tshirts wearable?  I have a huge pile of girly Ts from bands that are ONe Size.  They are very short and often too tight.  What to do?  I've cut off the shoulder necklines for some which hepled the length but not all that much.  Any suggestions?
9  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Fondu?? on: December 04, 2003 05:18:02 PM
Oh yes!  I have a fondu pot but have yet to use it.  Anyone have any recipes to suggest?
10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Teen Mags with DIY Projects on: November 30, 2003 05:29:53 PM
I thought I'd add that Elle Girl magazine, and Teen Vogue feature a DIY project every issue, which are usually fabulous fashion ideas, using chains , zippers, and various other items that are trendy in High fashion!  You could always check them out at the library, or the websites should have them www.ellegirl.com or www.teenvogue.com.
